Edit:Jetheren, I am not referring to you on this. You seem to have been around long enough to know the interface well. The advice is more for those who just got the game and have similar issues.
LOL dude I knew you weren't refering to me and even if you were I woudn't care what-so-ever. That is my flaw when it comes to strategy games online, I want to be able to take breathers every now and then, but I never feel like I can when I'm constantly worrying about the planets
Hmm... disagree on several points 1)too much scripting. The question is not how much, but how good. Scripts and surprises can be fun and interesting. An AI that is gimped game after game is just opening the door for criticism of weak AI and a rude awakening when they try the same thing with the AI unfettered. Scripting and AI limitations are often there to keep the AI from flattening you, while giving the AI immense s

I've seen how Sins looks on an HD TV with settings at max. I literally started to drool.

The main purpose of the upgrade is to allow your ships to start bombardment sooner. Yes you may only get two shots off compared to the un-upgraded siege ship, but that is one extra salvo of damage you have dealt to the planet faster than the un-upgraded ship. Also it will take more time for defending ships to reach your upgraded siege ships if they were positioned on the other side of the planet. So even if those upgraded ships get destroyed, as long as they got off several salvos (or even on
I gotta admit, I'm a bit dismayed that many are suggesting taking the easy way out and locking the teams. For me, that's just never been fun. Since the game's release I've been playing huge FFA maps with 9 Hard/Unfair AIs, and the dynamics of diplomacy make it different each time.
Exactly my thoughts...except I'm not playing against AI's of that caliber.

I'm really thinking about online multiplayer, but I'm waiting for Stardock to get back to me with my account information, I can't remember it.

I can't tell you about a time, but from what I've been hearing around the forums is that mainly the muliplayer right now is best with 1.5. It seems not many are playing the 1.1 beta right now, so if you have 1.1 beta that might be a part of it. As for times I can't really say since I don't play multiplayer at all at present.
I've already reordered Entrenchment.
Wow you must really love sins if you bought entrenchment twice! [e digicons][/e] And definitly do not forget that is was Ironclad who made the game. Thank them, Stardock are good guys, they kill alionze and don't afraid of anything.

yeah, what version are you running right now? If you are running 1.5 then there is the 1.1 beta going on at the moment and it is an open beta so hop on and enjoy better explosion graphics, smoother gameplay when running at higher graphics, more strike craft per carrier with un-nerfed flak to deal with them (thank you 1.1 beta version 2!).

I've never had an ally that is at 100% turn on me, yes I have had an ally who I failed to do missions for after getting to 100% and his allegiance declined so much that he did turn on me. I've never experienced that before, not saying that is doesn't happen, just that it hasn't happened to me.

Ok I know how to use them, it is just the fact that they don't seem to do anything. I try to do these when I have 100% friendly status with another race. What will happen is when one of my planets come under attack by enemies and my fleet is nowhere close I try to use the defense command for my allies to send a fleet and defend my world. Just to re-state, I have 100% status with my ally, we are in a peace treaty and have all the other treaties made. My allies fleet will arrive in syst

Just as the title says, I can't remember what my account information for Ironclad Online is. Where do I go to so I can find it? I decided I would try out Multiplayer, but I can't if I don't remember my online information. I know I have an account because when I go to make a new one it says the CD key has already been used, so I must have made one when I set up a LAN game with my friend thinking I needed one. Can someone help?

No problem, I can't garuntee this will work but as I said, it never fails for me. When I play a 1v1 this tactic is essential for me. When I'm playing larger maps with more AI, the AI will place bounty among themselves often so I don't have to worry about the bounty on my head as much.

To get the newest patches, the Beta for 1.1 you have to have Impulse. Now when you download Impulse click the Blue Stardock Orb in the top left and select "Show Pre-Release Versions" Then go to Updates and update away!
