RTS to MMOrpg jump?unlikely in any time frame Warcraft
But that was Blizzard, and Blizzard is HUGE! You know, Developer buying Publisher huge! I didn't even know Stardock existed until Gal Civ 2 so I hadn't even heard of Ironclad or at least I didn't know who they were. (no offense to either Stardock or Ironclad, you guys make awsome games!) When I was loading up this thread the first thing I thought of was EVE...but then I read that you are already an EVE playe

Well if you think about the names of each of the levels you aren't researching for more ships, you are researching better communication networks, more complex supply lines, and other stuff that would require constant upkeep to continue running and allow you to maintain the new fleet size, ships or no ships. You aren't being charged for the ships, you are being charged to keep the logistics centers running so you can keep that level of fleet organization. So even if no new ships are cons
LOL! Ah I love it when we take threads and send them completely off topic. Good times!
When you find Artifacts they automatically give you bonuses as long as you hold the world they were found on. No research required just have to explore.

I'll believe every word. As a guy I speak for us all when I say that yes, we are the stupidest race on earth. And don't tell me about the male scientists, a girl thought of it and we just took credit for it. But man do we have fun doing stuff. 2. WHERE'S 1.09 *spins around trying
I understand your complaint as does everyone else who has posted. The AI does retreat a little too much in my opinion even if it does calculate your fleet being superior. In my opinion the computer needs to take in to account that if it keeps retreating it will lose many of its' worlds. And the more worlds you have, the more resources you have to pump out the ships you need to beat the better fleet. The AI is just digging its' own grave by running until it reaches its' capital world (where the A
oh and I meant right clicking, not just selecting it.
Have you tried clicking on the phase stabalizer when you tell your units to jump? I had this problem this morning, I took my fleet at a planet with a stabalizer and clicked another planet with the stabalizer and they took the long route. I'm just guessing about the clicking on the stabalizer thing, but it is worth a shot. If that doesn't work then it was a glitch at that time. Your units should automatically jump to the planet with the stabalizer if told to do so, you dont have to turn anything
lol, i actually thought this game was very easy and simple, the first time i played it. im suprised someone finds it hard.
When I first got the game I did the tutorials and still got owned by a single normal AI (I dont like playing on easy difficulties in any game). It took me about 5 or 6 games before I figured out a good starting strategy and that was just with the TEC. When I switched races it was like playing a whole new game, but with my previous experience I was ab
NEVER MIND IT'S WORKING!
...Now I have another problem, it is not showing my picture after I've uploaded it. IT IS A JPG Gah! What is going on?
WHAT! The forum said it would do that for me! IT LIES!! X-(
Remember to disband any possible fleets when chasing. Ships in a fleet all move at the slowest ship's speed.
Hmm my Cobalt Frigates, Disiples, and Ravastra Skirmishers say differently as they shoot out waaaaay ahead of my fleets all the time to be the first to slam head first into the opposing forces. I'm pretty sure they do that for anytime an enemy fleet jumps to one of my planets and I tell my fleet to intercept, but when the enemy retreats they stay with
Mainly the reason why they didn't make it so where you could see who was allianced is so that when you invade another empire you will have no way of knowing if another empire is on the way to support it's ally. But I do agree that it would be nice to have some way of eventually learning who was allied with who at the time (like spying as Simbjv said). I guess some might say that you could just look and see who is not attacking who, but I've been playing a large map for quite some time and I stil
I am trying to upload an icon image, but every time I do the page messes up. It gives me the HTTP 400 Bad Request error message so there is something wrong with the address. Is anyone else having this problem or does anyone know if the site admins know about this problem and are already working on it? I just want to upload an icon from my computer. X-( And yes the picture is on my computer so that rules out that possibility.
The best way to harass your enemies is to periodically message them... calling them "n00b5" and "|0053r5". Don't forget the tried and true "y0u 5uck". It's guaranteed to annoy, distract, and pretty much piss off all your enemies.
Or the player who you message doesn't pay attention to whisper's and then lands his nicely sized and strengthened fleet that he has been building on your doorstep after your latest verbal harrasment.
Just want to start off by saying that I am not participating in the 1.09 beta. I know this is a thread that is talking about 1.09 and even though I have not seen the changes and experienced them first hand, my time playing 1.05 gives me some credibility (at least I hope. ^.^) I want to say that I agree with those who think the Subverter was nerfed too much. From what I've read around the forums and my experiences using subverters and fighting against them, I can only say that I am disa
I've got this error occasionally. It says that sins communicated with some runtime setting or application or something and shut down unnaturally. Does anyone know what this means?
ok cool, that answers anything I can think of. Anyone else agree with Kuro's statements?
Ah, ok I would see how it would be a good idea to not be able to see the other empire's alliances, but then how did Kuro know that all the AI in his solar system were allianced? It could have been coincidence that they all decided that he/she (Can't see your Gender information, and I want to cover my bases) was a juicy target? ...Actually I think I answered my own question in my head just now, but I feel like posting something. ^.^ Probably from watching the replay Kuro noticed that the when th
Hey well that at least answered one of my questions I was about to ask, and it makes it so I dont have to post about this same topic. Though my situation didn't happen the same way yours did Kuro. I was about to ask whether the AI can alliance with each other, since I'm just finishing up a medium random map and I, as far as I can tell, was the only person who ever had cease fires and alliances up and running. (Now that I've looked at your post I would say it might be because I was playing agains
Does this option increase the amount of fleet points each logistics upgrade gives you or decrease it depending on whether you choose small fleet size or large fleet size?
I've noticed that too, the cpu keeps invading my planets while my fleet is at the other end of my empire, but when I land my fleet on there doorstep they turn tail and run. STAY AND FIGHT YOU COWARDS! *shakes fist angrily* What I dont understand is that even though my fleet might outclass them at the moment, if the cpu doesnt defend some of its planets then soon they wont have the resource income to build a fleet to counter mine.
Wow, I learned something new! I thought shield mitigation just took off 15% of the damage from a hit. I had no idea the value increased as the rate of damage increased. I will definitly be taking that into account in later battles when deciding how many ships will attack a Cap. This question goes with Spartanz post. Is there a way to have a fleet move in a specific formation, aside from you placing the units where you want them to be?
