imo it should be called a planetoid or dwarf planet as in its not a satellite to a larger body and it has is own gravity well, but its just a game i dont really care

Wow that looks scary! what kind of temperatures are you getting with your 8800gt? the fan defaults to 29% on newer ones try putting it to 100% with ntune, what kind of motherboard are you running? might want to update bios to be sure, also are you running a sound card some older sound cards can screw around with your graphics if they overheat.and is your q6600 oc'ed? they run pretty hot on stock cooling

I think i may have experienced the same problem you experienced, i have an 8800gtx and when i scaled the settings to highest the textures weren't as good they seemed really bland but when i restarted the game everything seemed to take effect.

[/quote] yes but if there was a campaign the game wouldn't be out now! so i'll take it as is as i never really play campaigns anyway, i just play skirmish and then once i learn i go to multiplayer, but i realize that a recent poll said somthing like 70% of gamers never take there game online and just play the campaign, so i don't totally disagre

every game I play is a campaign, it's a new story every game! seriously though most 4x games never really had that much of a linear storyline you are looking for, just the lore that goes with the universe to back whats happening in the game world. lol I remember reading the history of the master of orion 3 races longer than playing the game, and it was more interesting, but master of orion 2 was more addicting. I'm sure if you want a campaign though it might be moddable? don't
