On Babylon 5, 500 years after the events in the show, after the "great burn" they reverted to the stone age because the survivors no longer trusted technology. After all, it was technology that bombed them.

I think GC has more replayability. If you get GC don't forget to get the expansion Twilight of the Arnor, it adds alot to the game. Don't worry about Entrenchments bugs, its still in beta. You will only be able to get Entrenchment via download until all three mini expantions are complete, whenever that is.

The prototype's in my garage and everything! Okay, so I don't have a garage, but the point is still valid.
I pump my car up with a bicycle tire pump
There was a poll during the beta and people were asked how long they would expect a game on normal speed. I think the winning number was about 2 hours. I also would like a game like sins but where you could build an empire, not just a rush strategy.
Combo electric/biofuel....at least in the short to medium term.
On single player I like to use a big group of teched up LRMs
Shouldn't there be a trial before conviction?
I have been playing sins for quite some time. When I build up my planets, they all end up looking the same. Now that we have more defensive structures to play with, how about the idea of pooling civilization and tactical points together. I could choose to have a mega economic planet, or defense, or some mixture of both.
The US could be paradise too. We need immediate population controls.

I have seen other people mention moving starbases. I am no scifi fanatic but I consider myself a fan. On what is everybody basing movng starbases on? I know B5 never moved, and DS9 only moved once when it was moved closer to the wormhole but o'brien said it was not made to be moved, plus they had to do some special things to get it to move. i remember them saying in other episodes if it went through the wormhole it would be torn to bits. IMO, sta
I like the idea of an AVERAGE of one starbase per system but I should be able to put 2 in one system and none in the other. I would of like to have seen cap ships work the same way, and fleet supply increase a certain percentage depending on how many planets you have..but oh well
build a true empire
I would like to do this. Real-time Civilization in space!
Yes, i like it....all structures.
Taking it even further, i would like to see homeworlds start with defense structures free. That would prevent some rushing (i think).
I don't think it would be as bad if, when mines are visible to your fleet, they avoid them except for a mine sweeping ship whos job would be to clear mines while your fleet is fighting. Right now it involves too much micro management. If mines are not visible to your fleet, for one reason or another, then yes when they hit them they explode. But when they are visible your ships should avoid them.
its all just too much micro
I was just playing a game against the AI, I had a fleet in a tight formation because i was using repair ships. I lost over 100 LRMs in about 10 seconds because of mines. that seems overpowered.
We definitely need a minesweeper ship.
I counted each planet as its own solar system with its own star and I considered the central star just to be the center of the system
That is how I imagine it when I play this game...the way it is seems odd to me.
Ohio - how many refineries do you have
I place enough so just about every asteroid gets its maximum 3 refineries. on average 1 per planet, but that can vary.
I don't know what the age rating is on this game, maybe they did that so children could buy it.
Your loyal citizens are dying sova carrier has empargo and steels your money.
Currently your forced to focus fire, so seems this would help that problem. But I could see it being frustrating.
In my current game I'm playing, orbital refineries are giving me 3.2 metal and crystal per second, thats after my 68% fleet upkeep. They are more than useful especially medimum and large maps vs AI. About phase lanes, it might be nice to have the option not to use them, but I could just see the frustration if one of your planets were under attack and your fleet was stuck between 2 planets. As a matter of fact, that was a bug in one of the betas. Fleets would travel without using phas
