Thats a toughie that one. Imo I would sacrifice the realism of being able to dock at any ship with making fighters allocated to one ship stick with that ship. so if a fighter wants to dock , it wont just head back to the Carrier designated to build full fleets of bombers , but will go a bit further to dock with its own capital ship. Now lets assume the capital ship has blown up , the fighters should then be given the order to fight to the death , or to assign themselves to available cap

Id like to see some automation but with a strategical edge to choosing the automation settings. Alot of people used to like fighter micro in hw and hw2 but that would mean spending 1 minute zoomed in clicking at a rate of 90per second to win a fighter fight and save maybe 2 fighters. That in hw2 terms may win a game but in sins terms wouldnt effect much. Going with Strategy id like to see option choosing for fighters set to each carrier ship. For example i could set

I think the key to making coop style mp or even LAN work well is for the Game to actually Acknowledge the Role a player takes within a team. I think this is very important because players can get pissy with each other and try to take over each others role unless theres something official set in stone. Even if its a simple change of palatte for the UI or just a tag saying "Defensive Player" or "Eco player" it would make coop work.

Various Roles ive just thought off Offensive Microer - controls invading fleets and plantary assualts Defensive Microer - defends against invading fleets and uses weapons platforms Economic Engineer - Controls development on planets and space resource units Fleet Engineer - Controls the building of fleets, retirement of fleets and assignment to the microers. Strategical Overseer - Keeps zoomed out , advises microers where to hyper to and from. Tactical Over

I think a neat feature would be for replays. For a replay file , watching it you can set it to "movie style" so the game will choose the best parts of the game with battles and conflicts , some subtle bits with fleet movements and building , and some apocalypic scenes of planet razing and blowing up stuff. Add to this some cool musical theme tune and also being able to export it as a Wmv file , could make this game uber cool. I also had an idea that Sins could easily be a Space Opera Ma

It might work with clan vs clan action where the team would be more organised then randoms vs randoms

Total Annihilation : all time favourite and taught me to micro like a basterd. Played online for 5 years . Member of PRO. Homeworld 2 : great game . Loved it for the amount of thinking and planning required in the game. Member of TFL and ex-Demon NWN : Loved this on LAN . Rinsed the singleplayer and played almost all the mods. Xcom Terror Of the deep. Nothing compared to this game. Totally Hooked

Yea I think that supcom is making people open their eyes about RTS being actually to do with strategy then just Micro and tactic. I can see people wanting to explore space rts that strive to have massive zooms and epic maps.

Trails are lovely to see when fighters in formation going in a straight line. Its when combat occurs and fighters start turning that the trials makes it look too much much like strands flying everywhere

Try Supreme commander HQ for a clan but my advice is wait till the game is released because you will see a flood of Veteran Total Annihilation Clans joining then. WWW Link

at the end of the day the need for saving multiplayer games is a must especially if games can last over 3 hours. sods law always has one player who cant make it to the next round. If the only way to transfer to another player is for that player to give his savegame file to another it gives a bit of control to who replaces whom. If I had to leave i would give my savefile to a similary skilled player so the game remains fair

some sort of clan status board that is access within the game lobby as a mini-browser and players can flip through the different clans that have registered Have the Following.. Clan Emblem Clan Leader Clan Officials Clan Members about the clan recruitment procedure links to website statistics on games Also a in-lobby messageboard is important too. I know you can use forums but not every clan player visits forums.
