I cant wait for the optimisation. Thats gonna tell me whether or not i need a new pc for the game. Atm , ive got a single core 3200xp 2.2ghz with 1gb ram . Its running supcom okay , but its armed with a X850XT PE , which isnt too shabby, Heopfully they will make the graphics card work harder

I think the game beta has gone very well in terms of balancing the game. Many improvements in the .52 and its no suprise that its gone gold. One thing I have to say is that it does feel very chaotic with too much to do , but after awhile you will adapt and learn how to manage everything at once. TA was the same way. I think supcom will be too

Specific question. When everyone in a game agrees to save the game in an online big game. Does every player recieve a .savegame file , or just the host who then has to rehost with the .savegame. Now , will it be possible for player B to give another player his .savegame file .And he will then beable to play in player B race. How does saving the game , and reloading the game work basically.

Thats a pretty interesting idea ,except Ill just use Teamspeak and ventrillo in teamgames. But this might work in FFA One idea is to only be able to speak to ALL in a ffa. BUT inorder to speak privately to someone you need to research "secured line communications or build sumit or other etc. This then enables you to speak to Specific players allowing you to organise 2 on 1 attacks on other players. Imagine if only 2 out of 6 people bothered to research this tech. Those people w

I think fighters SHOULD be completely useless against everything but bombers. The reasoning for this is from what I observe from RTS games ive played... For example Total Annihilation , Fighters could hit ground targets. People would make fighters not for bomber interception but to use in swarms to effectively do the role of ground killing which isnt right. The person who built bombers for ground killing essentially does less well vs ground then the guy who just built fighters

I think when taking into account lastability of a battleship you need to time how long it would take to get in reinforcements. In homeworld 2 , I think a BC vs BC match lasts approximately 15 seconds , but reinforcements can arrive from base in 10 seconds. I think what id love to see in Sins is a non-stop battle where reinfrocements keep arriving and arriving ,the original battlships long destroyed but newer ones joining the fray. Reinforcing I think takes 1-2 minutes

Well as the scale of this game goes , I dont mind leaving it to the AI to control the actual battles aslong as ive done my bit ..ie managed the empire and strategy to get those ships to the battle. Its like Civ4 , you do soooo much already , do you really need to control how the tanks shoot..no you just let them auto-fight and see the outcome. However with a game like CnC , you dont exactly do much else so you might want to control how the tanks shoot. With Sins you got Tons

lol , the 7800gt will be fine . Infact im sure with that card you can play with everything high. Ive got two PCs , one with a X850XT which should be fine , but one with a X200 which should be as good as an intergrated one that accountant has. I reckon that this game might also appeal to a more adult market who have intergrated graphic laptops.

Is it just me or does the management bar on the left look a bit worrying to use with all the [-] and [+] and planets just listed, ala Windows Registry scroll bar. In terms of how people will play this game , would it be possible to just manage your empire through zooming out to have a good spacial awareness of your empire then zooming back in and out for microing etc

Ok one thing i dont want to see , is crap like this. 400 ships , 40 planets to manage , stick 10 ships on each planet. What i want is 40 planets , 4 fleets of 100 ships , unprotected planets , a need for fleets to be able to strategically protect. So basically what advantages do fleets have over just small groups. Firstly there should be something in game that recognises when something is a fleet. I think a good advantage is if an enemy ship dies , your whole fleet gains
