Yeah, I really am looking forward to the vasari for right now.

When you invade, it's your soldiers that take the place of population. So that's the pop the just "pop up". But yeah, I wish troops had a bit more depth to them, like training troops and such.
I think he means how many people don't use the search function. Evidenced by how many "how do I get into beta" threads there are. (no offense hapi)
He's talking about the colored circle around any starbase showing it's area of effect, such as the area an economic starbase increases planet production, or trader income etc, not the influence border. Sometiems only a part of the planet is actually covered by this spere.
Ah, that would explain why I haven't encountered this bug. I heard somewhere that the AI is specifically designed (not sure how) for the second largest (Large?) size map, so I always play on that now.
Great, they can take the time to update Stardock Central but they can't upload a fix for our games. Lopsided sense of priorities I'd say. Even assuming the GC2 devs were the ones updating stardock central, how is that lopsided? Stardock isn't made of GC2, they have alot of other products too, and SDC is like the headquarters for all that stuff. So it would make sense to do a general update to please all of
Ok, so then it looks like the whole megaevent thing needs to be looked at. Cause if everyone gets the same event, every game, like I said, it just becomes common events. So maybe make them more random, and less trigger/variable oreiented.
What exactly is the bug? And the devs won't be on until monday, they have weekends off from what I understand.
Ok, I'm going to try and revive this thread, because I am really getting pissed off, and am ready to uninstall the game. This event happens EVERY time I declare war on someone and actually invade (per game), if all I do is declare war for say, an alliance fulfillment, nothing happens. But then I actually move my ships to my enemy, and this happens, every-freaking-time(had to watch myself there). I don't want to turn off megaevents, cause some of them are actually pretty cool. And t
Could you clarify on flaws? And especially why they would cause you to lose intrest before the game even went into beta?
oh come on, do you need those? To pull a yarlen... Yes.
Sweet. Looking forward to long hours of lights. The Lights! THE LIGHTS!!!! The beautiful LIGHTS!!!!!!!
Way to be blunt Yarlen. However, I am glad, orbiting planets would take up precious system resources (although, without it being in battle, not sure how that would actually matter). However, I hope they do indeed revolve on their respective axis so I can spend hours watching city lights go on on the dark side of the planet like in GCII? Or not that level of detail?
Well, everything loads correctly when I'm viewing the race on the race select menu, but then I actually select it and the above happens. And I did do it under the DA folder tree.
In DL I had made a race that took the place of custom race that had insane bonuses like +50000 loyalty, and +100 research and plantes of 30 quality and such for times when I wanted to screw around and "hahaha ZAP " other races. I tried doing that again in DA and the only thing that happens is the custom race suddenly doesn't have ANY bonuses (logistics I think is the only thing they had I think) and all the race description fields become blank. Did you guys disable the ability to mod in
I said employee, not dev. I just assumed you all worked in the same building and conferred with each other. But anyway, enough with wordgames, if it is a bug, it would be nice to see it fixed (not sure how to word this this late at night without sounding pushy or bossy, which I don't mean to sound like).
and tell the pilot that just attacked a us carrier that the gat. that just shot him down is minor i would use the name of the system but i don't remember it Most likely it would be an Aegis system.
In either case, it's just a permanent/unbreakable alliance, nothing more. Wrong, the "disgruntled employee" and "insulting of the wife" random event permanantly break team status. Surprised a Stardock employee got that wrong.
GC is a pretty stable program, Which begs the question, are you using Windows?
It's sad (not to any fault of you guys, probably my fault) that the only responses (and intelligent ones at that, no "u sukzorzs lol!!!111!1") were commenting on a misunderstanding of the feature. I actually meant openly attacking. With ships and such, not necessarily spies, although that would be handy as well.
I'm always bored at work, and one day I got thinking about things I would change (not necessarily that need changing for game balance, but maybe...). First off, teach the AI the difference of me declaring war and me fulfilling an alliance obligation. I hate it how the AI keeps getting mad at me because they keep attacking my allies and I keep coming to their aid. Which brings me to another point... Make the AI a bit more peaceful. I enjoy the periods of the game where I
