the trilogy you want is by Timothy Zahn - Heir to the Empire - Dark Force Rising - The Last Command there are more SW books after those by Zahn, but Read those three, IMO they breathed new life into the franchise in the early 90s.

my thought was that it would be interesting if players could still see the blip of an enemy ship on their galactic view, but unable to see/target the ship at planet-view until it decloaks/fires. That way attentive players would at least have an inkling of the pain that is a comin'.
if you get hamachi and join the server/network 7 DEADLY SINS (password= danman) you'll be able to see/contact our regular players more easily. on our site we also have a multiplayer forum section for setting up games in advance (5v5 is fun :)
is there anywhere i can find to research on it at all? I'd like to learn more than what i see within the current files.
i'm sorry i didn't read the whole thread so if this is reduntant i appologize... is there a way to "swap models" in-game through an ability? then either find a way to make a model transparent or a texture highly reflective to it's ambient surroundings?
again, currently 7ds only runs with 1.05 i have both 1.1 and 1.05. to do that, upgrade your game to 1.1, then copy your ENTIRE stardock/ironclad program file, and save it as a backup or zip. then, uninstall the game and reinstall. update to 1.05, again back it up. now you should have three files. all i have to do is swap one for another and i can switch versions within a minute. Most of us at 7DS use hamachi for convenience, but i do believe that

I'm recoding the empire (thanks to evillejedi) for danman's 7 deadly sins mod. that being said i have figured out most of the code on my own and with some help from the community. I would like to know what the name of the coding language used in the entity files is, and if there's any chance of finding a resource or guide on how to add to/improve both game options and performance. thanks for any help! - matt
