Maybe just have something like ctrl-shift-x that would remove the selected ships from fleet x?
Stratteggi
Green conquered this planet, and without finishing off the enemy's broadcast centers, he began building his own.
Actually, a completely unbuilt phase inhibitor acts as a fully complete one, same with planetary shield generators.
Zoom to cursor wasn't the default on my copy either, but I strongly agree that it should be.
I'm playing a game with locked teams at the moment. One of my allies and I controlled almost all of one system, and I was moving my fleets to finish off the last remaining enemy home world. To get there, the fastest route was through my ally's territory. While en route to the enemy, my ally says this: "Keep your forces away from Daedalus or pay the price." He also brought his entire fleet back from his campaign in the other system, just to make this point, not that he could do anything about it.
I was playing a game with locked teams, and in the early game, my ally scouted a terran world, so I colonized straight to it, and managed to get it before him. The cost of this is I didn't get everything very close to me, and my ally took a dead asteroid behind one of my worlds. The only thing he did with this asteroid was build 4 broadcast centers. It's as if it's just to annoy me.
No, wedge was saying that buildings shouldn't be targettable until they've started building, not finished. This way it's not like you tell your construction frig to build something, it gets added to the end of the queue, and before there is anything even there, it gets destroyed.
An alternative to an immediate cost for breaking an alliance would be to have "reputation." If go and backstab all of your allies, everyone else will know, and won't want to ally with you.
seconded with strat above. However, some intelligence of when to use the abilities would be nice of the AI. As it is, Kol use their shield and flak ability as soon as they jump in, intead of in battle. Not to mention Dunovs chasing ships all over the system trying to recharge shields...
time hunting around for them, checking their hull strength and if they've leveled up. Right click the ability button to have it auto level your ships up the AI use any lo
I was playing a game with locked teams, and I saw my ally preparing to attack an ice planet held by an enemy. I chose to bring my smaller fleet with his. When we got there, the enemy also had fleet that was about the size of my ally's. My ally then retreated, leaving me hopelessly outnumbered, except that the enemy also retreated, allowing me to take the planet.
Has anyone else had trouble with the Dunov's Shield Restore ability? I find that when I have it set to use automatically, it will sometimes pick a target in a different gravity well and start making phase jumps through the system trying to get at it.
Tab does cycle through selected ships, and it cycles through cap ships first.
Just on the note of the Kol's extreme firing arc (Hint, you're looking at the lower of the two Kols):
When I discovered a new planet, it's infrastructure health bar in both the empire tree and the main view was bigger than the maximum size is supposed to be
No, he said he did get it, but his machine wasn't up to par.
matty_p, if you despise this game so much, maybe you should've considered doing more research before pre-ordering. Most of what you asked for has already been discussed, some of it long before your PC Gamer article. For example, the realistic placement of planets has been shot down several times since the beta came out. It simply does not work. Players know where to go to get the good planets, and a player that starts off far from the belt of preferred worlds gets left behind.
...i'm just trying to give feedback. if it's only to be met with unreceptive ears, what's th point of having a beta? It's not that we aren't accepting new feedback, it's just that this has already been debated. It eventually came down to this: If you attack an enemy, and completely counter his tactics, outmaneuvering him utterly, victory seems certain, but then he crashes his ships into yours so you end u
I've seen the problems with the buildings operating as soon as you start building them, and since the new update came out, I haven't been able to research in parallel.
Hmmm, this post seems like Beta Feedback Feedback
When I click on a planet, I can see all of the decorative enhancements (Ships flying around, mini asteroid fields, etc), but when I scroll the screen, they all disappear. XP Professional Intel P4 2.26 GHz 768 MB RAM Radeon 9600 256 MB edit: seems like Hizaed's problem
Ah, Alpha Centauri. A while ago, while playing it, I decided to probe my ally. I of course tried to cover it up and say someone else did it. They both found out, and both went to war with me. Immediately after this happens, my two remaining allies, sensing my weakness, call me up and threaten me, causing me to declare war on them. I had just lost 4 alliances (Can't remember if pacts or treaties) in one turn.
Well, I have no idea what number I am, but the money finally reached my PayPal balance, at 8:30 the night before the beta closes. Phew...
Pirate, or maybe an enemy planet, possibly based on culture. (I may be way off base here - I don't actually have the beta yet )
I can get the beta on Tuesday, if it's still available, but until then, I'm just like you guys, kinda floating around the forums.
