I was thinking we would be using larger gravity wells anyway to better simulate Star Wars fleet engagements. It would also be easier to make asteroid fields that actually have tactical uses. Good point about Corellian though.
Paradoxnt
The Space Ponies would never dare show their face while the Galactic Empire is on patrol. They know we are looking to open the first Galactic Glue Factory.
Please keep the present any star to any star system. It makes sense and shortens games. Also, Shadowhal's posts contain some interesting ideas. Finally, it is a bit distressing to see how much manuals cost. Personally, I've always been fine with a good PDF file. However, the download version of games always seems to be only 5-10% less expensive than the packaged versions. What is up with that?
I know that some of us are hoping EvileJedi gets involved and brings his perfect ship models with him. He pretty much already has ALL of them made. Hmmm, his textures would need to be upgraded though.
Good to hear Code Herder, I was a little worried about being forced to use 'Star Trek' style shields. As for Wedge's post, let's see if I have this straight. -Each gravity well will be FAR, FAR larger than those in the basic game. They will contain and focus on a planet/asteroid/station BUT will also contain a star model off to the side somewhere (and maybe asteroid fields to make fleet maneuvers tricky). Star Wars pretty much has only one habital planet/base per star system
I have the oddest issue while hosting games. Sometimes players can't actually see the games I set up. They hit the refresh buttons, but my game still won't display for them. To fix the problem, I have to usually reboot Sins and make a new map. Then usually players can see it and join up. Of course, about 65% of the time, everything works out fine.
Hehe, okay. Point taken.
Hey, is that a D&D Miniature figure? What are his stats? Ah, memories of the times and money I spent on that fad.
Oh oh, Eet is bored. Quick somebody dance while juggling flaming daggers. Hehe. It is true that TheGreatEmperor left the game before I could finish him off. Apparently, he was booted from the game. I didn't experience any trouble, but TGE doesn't have such a huge Ego that he would lie about it. Speaking of bloated, malformed, monstrous Egos, where is Schem?
Hey TGE, didn't I just crush you like a bug in a 1v1? I gave you a chance to back up your words and you failed miserably, didn't you. I knew you would go for your usual culture spam, and you didn't disappoint. Well, maybe you should send your main boy, Schem, my way next time. A challenge from the peanut gallery would be nice. As for our members, Spartan said we were pushing 2 dozen. Not that we had 2 dozen exactly. I'll give you a clue though because I'm a generou
First off, don't make assumptions. Just because I had something to do with my life when you offered your challange doesnt mean I can beat you. Secondly, I doubt you 'clan' even has 9 members.
See, he even agrees that he can't beat me (or his grasp of English is lacking). I don't get why he thinks our numbers are less, though. Once people heard that TGE and Schod weren't allowed, they ALL wanted to join up.
Hmmm, these links don't work.
Thanks Lord Malice, glad you like the theme. As for your WoW addiction, I think there are support groups out there. The first step is admitting you have a problem. The second step is then removing those problems (school, friends, work) from your life so you can dedicate more time to play both WoW AND Sins.
you may be a good player, but the replays show quite clearly that you stand no chance against two players out to kill you, so don't boast or tell crap. Not many people can. Whats your point?
The point is that Schem said he could crush our entire clan single handedly. Sure, we'll never know since we can ONLY fit 9 opponents in a game versus Schem at any one time. But even with a reduced number of opponents, I still somehow doubt Schem will do as well as he
TGE, I am trying to figure out what is up with your 'hanging out' in our forum topic. Maybe you are just looking for somebody to play against. I am more than happy to oblige. Let's play a 1v1 tomorrow. I'll be in Stardock Chat at 5:30-6:00 pm EST. See you then.
? You realize you can create maps and designate teams (that can include AIs), right?
We do have one opponent that strikes fear into Schem's heart. The AI!
Damn Schem. I had no idea you were so old. No wonder you know everything.
Not too worried about being killed off just yet. You still have that minor detail of having to assemble a team that can do it. Best of luck with that.
You'll need more than shaking off the 'ol' rust' to beat us. If TGE is on your team, you'll need a miracle.
? What makes you think everybody who's posted in this thread is in the clan?
I only accept the power you offer so I can use it to help people in need. Once this crisis has abated, I will lay down the powers you have given me!
Don't listen to Shadowhal. I am a good, kind hearted Emperor. I love democracy. I love the Republic. I also love peace and all the other SoaSE clans.
Well, you could try to make the arguement that atmosphere depletes shields (since it would be like a continuous attack on the actual energy/charged particle field). That might be a good reason for why the shield emmiter can't actually be inside the planet's atmosphere. However, if that is the case, then asteroid and dead asteroid planets would be ideal for a ground based shield generator since they have no ( or only trace amount) atmosphere.
