Was it DOS? Just kidding. ;x Haha, very funny, although I think you could play it on a 486 if that tells you anything. There was also a sequel that was very good, came out in 1999 i think.

How similar will this be to the Imperium Galactica series? in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

I always thought the Imperium Galactica games were a great concept in that they were 4X but in real time. I kept waiting for someone to make a more polished version and this game looks like it could be it. It seems like SOASE will focus much more on tactics of the space battles and the distance between solar systems will be much greater but really the games seem quite similar. Does anyone know if SOASE was influenced by the IG series?
