before I plonk down $44 Hmm... I say spend $1 less on meals for 44 days. After 44 days, if you don't like the game (impossible IMO, this is a game perfect for you based on what you've said), then you won't be wasting a penny.

A (optional, perhaps) box that shows what you have selected. Ah ha! My old post on having tabs in the empire window would work here Not many were too fond of the idea though -_- You currently do have an alternative for this: selection based empire window (enable in options). Only problem with this is it shows ONLY what you have selected, nothing more
In the 3-hour game I played I almost had the entire tech tree researched; it gave it no meaning to gameplay. Hmm.. try playing with one star and three other opponents (small galaxy default default settings)- you should find that teching-up will go much more slowly (at least in my experience anyway..), due to the limited amount of resources 2) Triple the size of the tech tree. I know this could be very difficult to do but w
mmm... tasty screenies
Yes, yes, yes, this is a good topic THANKS IRONCLAD & STARDOCK You guys have worked very very very hard to give us this great already-release-quality game Now get back to work!!!! Praise doesn't come with
Could.. could it be a subliminal message placed by IC? Could.. could it have something to do with what the campaign will be like?
If anyone was wondering, that was Multianna's flagship I guess we won't be seeing multi anywhere anymore...
I also second/stamp of approval/want/agree with this idea
Has anyone thought about making bounties optional? Pirates are optional. Why not the bounties? In a no pirate, and no bounty game the AI may actually do some research, build some ships, and attack you. Since it has nothing else to spend its credits on.
Hmm, I have also noticed this happen quite often though it seems to be intermittent: sometimes I am able to max out just fine, sometimes I find I am short 2 fleet points..
I really like the ideas posted, especially because of how realistic they are My thoughts: 1) Killing pirates lowers your bounty: this would make sense as killing pirates basically dwindles their resources and hence forces them to spend more money, meaning the bounty worth lowers as well. 2) Buying your bounty: Pirates want loot - obviously if you offer them more money and they don
What I like about Sins, as of 0.70[b].013: 1) The scale, as most people have already mentioned 2) The music, really represents the atmosphere of the game well 3) Capital ships going BOOM 4) Game Stability & Graphics 5) Having a uber-powerful fleet... - phase jumping into enemy territory and watching the enemy flee cowardly - ganging up on a single enemy unit and blasting it to a trillion pieces - slowly taking over the galaxy planet by pla
*looks up and, at first, sees Jperzio talking to himself * Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... they have the same display pic -_-
Hmm... Another use (a compromise maybe ) could be to have tabs to switch between owned planets, team planets (other than yours), enemy planets, and neutral planets.
(btw are you using the filters? r u stacking?) Do you mean the stack/group unit button on the top left? If so, it is useful once all offensive units are gone, otherwise, unstacking allows for focusing fire on a specific unit It sounds good to me, but that would have a second scroll bar since all the name tabs of solar systems w
Ah... what I mean is tabs in the style of something like what firefox uses (and now IE). Right now they are grouped by star, yes, but in a 'root tree' fashion. I was wondering maybe having an option to group stars by using tabs instead of 'root trees'. This would minimize the chances of scrolling when there are too many stars (i.e. with more than one star 'expanded' from its root, it'll cause scrollbars to appear because the empire window is so big. In other words, when you want to view
.... maybe Just thought of this idea, not sure if it's been thought of already. I checked Kyro's feedback roundup and saw no existence of this suggestion: How about having tabs in the empire window to group planets by star? This should prevent that scroll bar from appearing, unless of course the star has a substantial amount of planets and/or you are using a very low resolution.
what if when you download the patch it takes 2 days to download.... then you would be a big, bad, jinx
same its out today
The shield will constantly regenerate but damage will not Hmm.. this wouldn't be realistic at all... Repair stations are useful for front line planets that are constantly under attack and need rapid repairing
holy crap ('scuse my language) that's one BIG change log... Can't wait until July 9 <img src="http:
The pirates are stoppable - Just make sure you don't grab a planet close to the sun too quickly, put your enemies at a higher bounty than they've put on you and make sure you build up a defense force quickly. Yea.. with these planets you almost most definitely need to upgrade tactical structures unless you plan on keeping your main force there
Hmm.. Since playing beta 2 I've been having no problems with pirates. All you really need to do is spam gauss defenses focused around the planet (as I've noticed planets are quite weak until you get the shields). This should buy you enough time to bring in your main force and blow them to bits, or if you've positioned the cannons well, it should wipe them out completely. Be sure to research the gauss cannon cool-down time upgrades - should help a bunch <img src="http://images.stardock.c
Hmm... Definitely agree that games right now play out way too long and would make MP unplayable Some ideas on making MP "shorter" and bearable time-wise: 1)I recall there was supposed to be a point system of some sort, where you had to obtain a specific number of points to win - that would help... 2) Have a specific 'goal', e.g. first player/team to destroy the pirate planet,
