Re: Scalemail scalemail is good, i agree, but i didn't include it because i don't find myself ALWAYS wanting it the way i do with Nimoth chestguard. if this list included "situationally great" items i'd definitely include it. there's basically nothing better (for such a low price) against minion using generals. Re: Plenor Battlecrown for 1500 gold you can buy 4 robust mana potions, which will restore 15000 mana total, though in pract

but you just pretty much demonstrated the point i was making about a health threshold. here's another way of thinking about it. seperate all the damage you expect to receive in an encounter into skill damage and everything else. the threshold is the damage received from skills. once thats subtracted out you need to start thinking effective health. so just a quicky example: my opponent is level 7 Unclean Beast and he's usin

interesting. i'll have to try that. do you keep any health when the effect wears off or does it go back to previous level minus damage sustained?

fine, we can discuss your point. you're correct, but there's not alot of insight to what you said. i agree, it is true that for the purpose of surviving Burst Damage from Demigod Skills it is good to have high health. kinda obvious. and not what i was refuting. i was refuting the notion that its ok to ignore the highly relevant measure "effective health" by concentrating narrowly on surviving a burst damage attack. its just threshold based.

i'm sure you'll all argue this til the end of time, and please do so, lively debate is good. these are my picks for "best of breed" items for each category. just the most efficient, most effective, best bang for your buck items. the lists aren't ranked in order, my numbering is arbitrary Consumables: 1) Teleports and Flag Locks - use them to win games. that is all 2) combat mana potions - not every DG can use these effectively, but the ones that can (Sed

very common to take points in Morale at higher levels once you've already got most of the skills you really needed for your build. so you'll often stuff like Oak taking morale at levels 16-20 just to make the Spirits start hitting hard. kinda rare to get Morale or Stat packages (for Assassins) before level 16 though, most people will find good uses for all of their skill points through the end of the skill tree at level 15.

20%? from what? rank 3 Diseased Claws gives 10%. its perfectly reasonable to escape from a UB. Warpstone, Cloak of Night, Bat Swarm, Wand of Speed, or someone using their own slowing effects before running. its somewhat harder to escape Beast than other DG's but certainly not impossible. and if you're playing a ranged attacker you might just be kiting and harassing anyway and NEVER be in range, particularly if its a multi DG encounter.

Narmoth's ring is fantastic. one of the best items in the game for survivability. i find that with the combination of Nimoth Chest Guard, Unbreakable Boots, Narmoth's Ring, and Blood of the Fallen (favor item) you get a hellacious Godzilla monster tank and can really exploit Ooze very well. and don't forget to hold the health flag at all times!

i mentioned in my previous post that I thought you were over-simplifying. thats very much what i'm seeing in your latest post as well. map towers, creep waves, minions, and auto-attacks are all reduced by armor. thats a tremendous number of damage sources that armor is a more efficient protection against than just health stacking. additionally, you get the highest benefit by using BOTH in the right proportion. i think we ought to be realistic when we talk

so...which favor items are problematic with which Demigods? details would be appreciated. DalzK mentioned Wings of the Seraphim and Tower Rook. thats subject to debate of course. you can get a similar effect (stronger actually) even with Favor disabled with good ole' Heart of Life. but yeah, its clearly a powerful strategy. not sure how imbalanced it is. can interrupt with any damage at all. every DG has a way of doing

Ooze has a counter. a much simpler one than Spit in fact. you just walk away. its basically a melee range AoE, any character with ranged attacks and decent run speed can kite an Ooze beast. now thats not a fatal flaw by any means, Ooze can still be very good even against ranged harassing types if you know how to play it right (you have to sneak up behind them). just saying, you can really easily negate Ooze just by getting out of the way. its much easier to preven

how is that even remotely true? time is time and damage is damage. consider, elapsed time of 10 seconds. you have a health regen of 40 hps. Scenario A: hit by rank 4 Spit you suffer 1500 damage from Spit and gain 400 health from regen. net health loss of -1100. Scenario B: hit by rank 4 Fireball you suffer 1050 damage from Fireball and gain 400 health from regen. net health loss of -650

nah, if you can get those outer towers down you damn do it. its a huge advantage in holding the flag if your tower is still up (giving you a defended retreat point) but your opponent's is down. you can pursue him very far out of the lane, often its enough extra pursuit distance to get the kill. and having your creeps march a bit further up is fine as well. you just have to go farm on the new battle line, which is perhaps slightly more dangerous than the original b

alot of Demigods use damage sources that are mitigated by Armor. i do not consider it accurate to say that most DG's use skills as their primary damage source. Minion attacks of any kind are reduced by armor. Oak Spirits, Erebus Nightwalkers Queen Shamblers, Sedna Yetis (not that i've seen one of those recently), and all of the Idol summons. Rook's Towers and Shoulder Turrets are reduced by armor. Pretty significant against Tower Rook.

best update/fix (for me anyway) from GPG so far has been the performance improvement to Sound FX and Music in the game. my system used to not handle it very well but now it works fine. great job on that. thank you. game runs faster and smoother and the sound is better and doesn't hiccup or crackle anymore.

tagging rule goes like this... you will gain your portion of the gold from the creep if either of these two things is true: 1) you have dealt at least 25% of the total damage to the creep 2) you delivered the killing blow to the creep gold is split evenly among all eligible Demigods within range (its a large range, like 30 range units at least). the amount of gold each creep carries is based on what type of creep it is. very good i

get real. it was a random bad moment in my connection. you should have kicked me, thats true, but i wasn't bullshitting you. its very common for ping to spike for a few seconds while a proxy connection is formed. its when it doesnt come back down that its bad. my connection was acting up that night, no big deal. i'm on broadband cable, its an average broadband connect. yeah, just average, but its good enough. its also about 13 times faster than the OP of this thre

go to the Pantheon page and search your name. http://pantheon.demigodthegame.com/ and no, i don't think health stacking is exactly a new strat. has been pretty popular with rook pretty much forever. he can't run so he has to outlast you. makes sense to stack health.

i've tried it, it doesn't work. you can definitely squeeze the skill points in, you end up with this mix at level 12: Penitence 4, Raise Dead 4, Soul Power 1, Divine Justice 1, Surge of Faith 2 but the hybrid build doesn't have the item support to be competitive. there's a huge tension between stocking up on Health+Mana (totally necessary for Penitence build) and stocking up on minion boosters (totally necessary for Raise Dead build). </
