Hey everyone, I recently reformatted and reinstalled everything on my computer, as I do regularly. I have a hard copy of SoaSE, and reinstalled it with no problems, however, I had ordered Entrenchment digitally, and Impulse is not recognizing that I have a copy linked to my account. Any suggestions?

Realism? what about this game is strictly real, and how do you figure that the system is realistic? no offense Why would you NEED 6 whole colony's to support a capital ship, if we were being realistic you could probably support about 2-3 capital ships per planetary colony and maybe half to a whole capital ship per asteroid colony. I guess when I was trying to figure out support requirements for each kin
one of the key ideas of the game is that you can create fleets around your own strategy. restricting this aspect any more spells bad news, I dont like the idea. I'm not suggesting we restrict possible strategies, I'm simply suggesting we apply a little realism. Now I know that gameplay > realism, but still. Consider a modern day aircraft carrier. They usually have a population of around 3-4 thousand people. N
Interesting, but kinda moot to build walls in a 3D space environment ^^ You're absolutely right, it would have to be three dimensional, at least in appearance (after all, we don't have control of the Z-axis). The only reason I suggested this in addition to the minefield idea is that a shield barrier would recharge automatically, making it a bit easier to maintain.
I just had an idea for a new concept in the game: security fences/barriers/shields/walls. I'm really not sure what to call them, and none of these terms seems quite right. Anyway, I'm envisioning being able to build shield projectors (much like those that protect planets) that project a barrier on a path that you specify. So, with these, you can create barriers to delay, not prevent, an enemy fleet from entering the heart of a system you control. I see them being fairly weak, but enoug
As it stands, I don't like the way the number of capitol ships is restricted. Bear with me, I don't want to make capitol ships more common, I ant to make them more rare. I propose that instead of starting with a capacity of one, and then researching technology to give you a specific number more, that it be based off of the number of colonies you have. I would say that a capitol ship needs the support of 5-7 colonies, so for every 5-7 colonies, you are given one capitol ship slot.
