Kind of related to the don't jump through wells debate (which I agree with - the not jumping through wells that is), ANYWAY, played a game recently where there were jump pathways (the connector things between the planets - not sure what they're called) that bypassed some planets. That's all fine except for when the pathway bypasses a planet but still passes through the planet itself (and ultimately the well). Hmm, update on my last post. Not sure what's going on now. I've been booted out of Sins a couple of times now and when I do I get the same error message as before when I try to start it up again. A reboot does seem to fix the problem tho. Not sure whether it's Sins that's at fault or my system has got a case of the snivvles. I shall investigate further.............. Really annoyed now.... Same audio problem as before, (reply #157). After the last time I tried to use media player and had the same technical fault so figured I needed to update/reload my audio drivers. I did this and media player worked fine again (horay - we have music!). As soon as I played one game of Sins again it screwed everything up. I get the same error message as before and all my audio doesn't work. I now can't load up Sins either (as before). Strangely it also makes my task bar go to
After playing a few small games I tried the medium size galaxy. After about 2 hours game play it booted me out and said that it had sent the software developer an error report. Now when I try to run the game it comes up with an error message "Error initializing audio device" then gives the options "skip" "skip all" and "break". It doesn't matter which one you select, it just send you back to desktop and doesn't start the game. All other games are running fine and my audio devices are all working
Just played my first single player (OK I'm a bit behind). Not bad start I must say. Unfortunately it seems to crash the first time I wipe out a race. I was playing in 1440X900 60Hz 2 Samples Highest Texture Win XP SP2 2.19Ghz Core 2 Duo 2 Gig RAM 256MB Graphics
