P5yy is complaining about a genuine quitter. I was in that game too and was causing the quitter to surrender. t was my homeworld - roid - volcanic - roid - enemy homeworld. I met that quitter on the volcanic very few minutes into the game, killed his cap and the next second he surrendered.

I have to agree with tyr222 and Flipkik. Ironclad, this is your personal wakeup call! You need to fix ICO or you'll lose players. You absolutely need to implement the following changes ASAP. We, the online players, do not care if that delays Entrenchment another half year, all we care for is a solid online experience. - Fix ICO stability issues. - No more unscheduled maintenance - If there's maintenance, add some broadcast
I dont mind waiting 5 minutes when someone genuinely needs a bio break after 4 hours of gaming , but its so boring not to be able to chat and stuff.
The gameplay of Sins is slow enough to allow for very elaborate bio breaks even in unpaused games.

If you overclock, you run your system outside its specifications. You have no right to complain if something isn't working on such a system.

Vasari have the best voices. Advent is just silly, like a bunch of scared chearleaders lead by the hockey mom. TEC is just boring and borderline retarded (you pick it we stick it).

Reply to AI problem in Technical

In case you got the boxed version of the game, did you register it with Impulse and downloaded the latest updates? The AI got improved with every patch. If you still find the AI too easy, you might want to consider playing the game online against a real person. Much more challenging.
The Carriers will retreat after losing their Strikecraft
Which means that now that he's gone, you can take out the enemy planet undisturbed. Take the fight to the enemy, attack him early. Don't wait for his carriers to visit you.
Flak is a bad ship because it only kills Fighters and Fighters don't cost anything to rebuild.
Not quite, building fighters costs antimatter. Eventually the carriers will run out of AM. As soon as that happens, the rate at which new squadrons get build will drop significantly. While Flak isn't a hard counter to carriers, they are in moderate numbers a valuable asset in draining the antimatter reserves of your enemy.

I believe you forgot to add me to the list. Strengths: Knows Vasari inside out, 300+ won games. Weaknesses: Sucks with Advent or TEC Known smurfs: The Smurfing Smurf
Seriously, if we invented the Holodeck it would be the last invention we ever made, except for perhaps the Networked Holodeck.
YMMD. I certainly would die in such a place. Am I the only one who thinks that Lt. Barkley on TNG was more human than any other character on the show? He at least had some real holodeck fun. As far as networked holodecks go, it has been done before : Voyager, The Killing Game
And sin

I very much enjoy the Revelation Space series by Alastair Reynolds. I like the scale in which it plays. Humans have spread to many different solar systems and all with just slower-than-light travel. All the technology presented is more or less just an extrapolation of current science, very convincing. And the overall story is just epic.

Great write-up. I had no idea RTS games use such a complicated, deterministic simulation. If I were to develop an RTS I would have used a client server architecture.
It's a new Vasari toy
A ship armed with loaded dice. I like that idea ^^
But thats not the point. The Point is that they will active there special ability while there are on a movecommando. Why the shouldt activate a feature thats for fight and not for move ?
That's why I never ever research that ability. Especially not since it is enabled by default on freshly built ships. And if I have multiple factories pumping, I just don't have the time to manually disable it on every ship.

The flipside of the coin: I'm an experienced player and I want to fight other experienced players. It gets extremely boring to just bash wave after wave of beginners. Even if I for example label the game "2 vs 2 skilled", still tons of totally unskilled players join. One particular problem is the general lack of players on ICO. Sometimes it takes ages to start a game. People join a game, see my stats and then leave. "No thanks, I stand no chance".

My guess is that you had that special ability of Assailants turned on. (The one that gets unlocked after having both Assailants and Sentinels researched, forgot its name). While in their special attack mode, assailants cannot move.

Awesome, keep up the great work. About Orbital Fleet Manager, Fleet Command Centers and the likes, I think it shows a greater problem. A human player usually has only a few ships with good defense guarding the border, the planets themselves are usually pretty much undefended. In most of my games, I have at most a dozen fleets for hundreds of planets. The AI on the other hand spends a lot of resources building mediocre defenders on each and
