If mod is dead is there a site where the efforts at ship designs, textures, notes and entity files etc can be cached for others to use privately to develop their own games further. I have a longing for the game on some engine and a data cache may assist others in speeding up the process if there is a repository of all the work done on this project by others.

Just a thought has anyone done anything about setting an ability with a random or percentage chance of success eg setting an ability for ordnance (instead of a weapon type for torpedoes still leaving 3 weapon types for ships/modules) and having it fail the check await until the cycle is complet and test again for successfull application of buff. xthetenth The errors meant that i'm just using the entrentchment developer and just adding each item to the bog standard entrenchment files to see issues etc and the clariify in myself what ammendments have to be made into which files. I have used the converter to do all files i'm assessing into txt - have found issues with the meshes in that the negative zero values meant the weapons weren't displaying properly and abilities were not included so i'm adding it to the centre du

Recently updated SINS and now BFG mod doesn't work, have also tried reloading rel 4, rev 6 etc, many conversions of harpo's updater (thanks for the tools always needed). I now get mod to start but graphical menus/control elements missing from screen. Screen proprorttion also appears out of sorts. Is there something I have not picked up on the updater or this thread. Late to post but I was playing with putting ships designs into game but had limited success, what is a successful process to do it _ simply i've no experience at skins but like to make ships in bfg style. I,ve been able to put a ship from lightwave into 3dsmax and using maxtool 1.1 put it into the SOASE beta 3 but it doesn't work in 1.03 is it a basic compatability with the beta engine or is it an issue with max 1.1. Max 2.0 keeps generating tvface and splitmesh errors - is that my issue I am only experimenting with 3dsmax 8. Any asssitance appreciated - ships are for BFG

Having issues with xsi converter ie having troubles with 3dsmax ver8 xsi convertered files. Using maxtool to import model (techsupport) removed big side gun and then used maxtool to export but when model viewed in game no changes to mesh therfore converted to xsi and then tried convertxsi but got the following messages.
