sorry for dbl post, but instead of 'i'd HAVE to think' i meant i HATE to think that the fix would be to back off AI routines.

interesting phenomena OP. everything (on my rig, trust me, not a state-of-the-art powerhouse) ran fairly decently until malice showed up, then all bets were off. it would pause for 10-20 secs at time, the 'effects' for malice would reset back to nothing, the game would move for another 10-15 secs, malice 'effects' would show up again and the process would start over again. i'd have to think that the 'fix' would be to back off some of the AI routines they've been incorporating, because
Yeah I don't think you can just 'add' HDR without it being implemented from the beginning. Maybe for SOASE 2. :)
A great post Annatar - and one that deserves a reading by those career-minded folk who may just be getting home from work :) And the post titles of OMG WTF LOL ROFL OMFG just really make most people NOT read them. Keep it less LEET please.
lulz. and innociv has spoken. seriously is the op serious? edit: maybe instead of saying, the advent are wimps because these are the FACTS that i know about the advent race, ask 'hey my current thinking of the advent race is that they're weak - any tips'? that would've garnered less incredulous posts. however, we would have missed inno's gem, so i do have to thank the op for that.
It's a small team. I'm sure everyone had a hand in doing EVERYTHING :) I doubt they're big enough to say 'you're the main art guy!' or 'you're the main interface guy!', etc. Mr. Craig himself was probably menu, to art direction, to game code, to etc. guy - I doubt you could draw a line at everyones' job and say 'This person is responsible for THIS'.
I agree - that was a ton of fun to read! Hate to make you go through all that pain again, but it would be fun to see you do this with other races as well! :) Great story!
I've noticed this w/ single player before as well. I think there was another thread a few days ago reporting this bug (if it is a bug) - the 'fix' I've noticed is to reset your game options before starting the game, after loading the save game file. It seems that after loading, the game options are all reset to default, so you'd need to go back in and change the options to mirror what they were when you started the game. At least, that works for me in SP. Not sure if that would help w/ MP.
Mucho congrats! You guys definitely deserve it!
having great fun w/ the game now guys (not that it wasn't fun before). thanks much for your hard work, and don't let the turkeys get you down. so, uh, what's planned for the expansion pack, and when can we expect it?? ;) j/k!
