yeah I guess a way you could utilize guerilla tactics would be send a smaller force in and rush them to the back of an enemy empire and run amok destroying infrastructure to bait the enemy to move its fleet away from the periphery and then pound the periphery while the fleet is away. For the most part guerrilla tactics is utilizing unconventional methods of warfare not necessarily by partisans.

yeah I was amazed.. I never bothered stacking my trade ports. Then after reading this, I tried it out and it was a night and day difference. I made enough cash that I could buy my minerals without much sweat and produced loads faster because of it but this was on Systems of War so it lends to a fair number of planets and distance I guess so perhaps in smaller 1 v 1 systems it might not stack up as well cause of distance (or lack there of).

yeah so far I have not gotten it to work like i hoped .. it seems if they blow up too close together in succession the following damage is not counted so it doesn't seem like it can't be done in a gun shot way. Also since its a sort of spacial damage and not direct damage like a missile or beam weapon it does not appear to work with the Malice skill. Hopefully Simonster has better luck but from what I can tell Martyrdom does not work with Malice.

Just thought about this last night though I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but its widely broadcasted about the Brilliance/Malice tactic but with a bit more (perhaps considerable?) micromanaging I thought of perhaps an even worse form of the Brilliance/Malice tactic. I hope to try it out tonight if no one has done this yet but do a suicide seeker/malice rush on an enemy. Brilliance does 250 damage I assume per tick on one target which is why its so brutal how

I am running the latest version of DA and I have 1 minor issue and one major one if it is a bug. Firstly the minor influence bug I am seeing. In a game my influence lines change between when I save a game to when I load that same game. I'll try to ilustrate without screen shots so bare with me. When I am playing a game my influence will be at a certain position on the map like normal. This particular game i could visually see it move because of my ship placement. Lo

[quote Nope, you get the planet with an almost non-existant population. It makes it easy to get your planets back from them quickly (or to lose them as the Korath). Their freshly exterminated planets are so vunerable, I've actually seen the Korath in my games switch to normal invasion tactics. Clearly the AI can realize how quickly they can lose their spoils of war. [/quote] Actually you mentioned a serious problem with the AI Korath. I have never seen my Korath AI ever have a grou

keep an attack ship on every planet to defend against tranports/sporeships I prefer to leave my planets relatively undefended against the Korath and take the fight to them and keep all their planet shipless for my invasion forces.

I was wondering if anyone had methods in 1.61 DA version to keeping the AI less aggressive on Large systems. I'd like to keep 9 races but on these maps by the time we get to the fun high end techs the computer has bashed itself (without my aid) down to 1-3 races. I then with the tech gap turkey shoot the remaining races. I'd like to try to slow down the game so the AI can actually get time to ramp up some tech versus just pumping out low class ships. I tried dropping world amounts fr

question on Superbreeders I've used this ability and wonder do you need to have all planets at 100% approval to work or does it only need to be on the planets. For instance I have an overall rating of 99% and Planet A is 100% and Planet B is 99%. Now will planet A get the superbreeder bonus while Planet B does not or will neither because my overall approval is not 100%? reason I ask is cause my homeworld for some reason is capping at 16 billion which I've never had ha
