Yeah, I noticed that when I was playing. My ship just flew in to colonize, I had to tell it to fight each ship individually. Auto Colonize should be a secondary thing, attack should be first. Why not do what players online do , and send your forces in first THEN send your colony frigate in when its safe to do so. And you did not just say colony frigates should be fighting rather then c

lol, we don't sleep much! Testing beta 3 patch 1 at the moment. Just had a big 3 v 3. Game needs a 6 player map that is under 1.30 hours long. How long was that 6 player game?
play the game more, then come back with better suggestions. , u cant play one game of hw2 offline and figure out stuff like MvBr ,hyper torping , angled DDs, dockaceptors , hypercapping and its exactly the same as in Sins.

Good thread. Subheading needs bold color
Hey this game is all about coordination and communication. Speed up the game , and ill chat less Also I didnt call anyone stupid.
The problem I feel is that the AI just doesnt have the same urgency as a Human player to colonise as quickly as possible. In small maps where human players rush 2xciv stations just to get the ice and volcano research, you can see the difference.

That was a really epic game and fun to watch tho we were all making terrible mistakes that would have you pulling your hair out if you spectated it. I think overall Nyc and Dutch had the better tactics and movement. They coordinated their fleets really well and doubled alot of our caps whereelse soul and I were struggling to find cohesion at the start and we were wasting alot of our units against superior numbers. However we were more organised in our overall strategy of attaining the important
This is really good idea , tho we might have problems hosting. Imo we should do this... 16 players. Each non-hoster pairs up with a hoster so this way we can atleast host. Just a quick idea... QuarterFinals - Fire+Ice SemiFinals - Kharaks Cross Finals - Flashpoint
erjee. Go onto Stardock Central ( the program you used to download the beta ) . On the left , goto Chat and this should take you to Stardocks's IRC. Then type in /join #sins and you will join the Sins channel. Alot of players are both in ICO and SDC and some are just in SDC. I myself dont even go into ICO until ive arranged a game in SDC or someone summons me or im usually tabbed out of ICO. This actually goes out to anyone who has gone to the ICO lobby and found it empty. Hop onto SDC and see i
Alot of people were online yesterday and alot of people had fast paced games on 2v2 online. We were all discussing the role and function of the Krosov in an online game. What we agreed on for the Krosov atm... - The Krosov is built only once the player has already won. A mop-up unit. - People arent willing to combine Krosovs to a fleet mid-game. Its better to do cobalt-cap. - The krosov needs more roles to make it a more intergral part of the game. Ideas we come up
Ok , The AI needs to learn to identify adjacent volcanic and ice planets and rush volcanic or ice research by rush-building two Civilian stations. Just like Human players do. This will give them a chance on small maps such as Close Encounters and Fire+Ice where the Ice and volcano planets are very important. As it is ,it seems they have the same lack of urgency in small map as they do in a large map where its not that important to rush-colonise.
Its not? They are calling it a 4XRTS, but the majority of it is RTS, the 4X factors a little more subdued. The 4x factor isnt subdued. Its the Roleplaying element of Sins that is subdued. Most 4x games take the form of a Roleplaying 4x game where they bombard you with imagery and tons of almost pointless things to tinkle with ,that makes you immersed and feel like you are controlling the wellbeing of peo

Ok firstly , Im no expert, thus my thread is the form a ?. secondly , I have a router im not allowed to access but heres whats strange. Games such as Supreme Commander and StarWars:Empire at War , I am able to host using the router without port fowarding. Games such as Homeworld 2 , TA Spring , Gamespy(total annihilation) i am only able to host once I have port fowarded. Sins seems to be with the latter group. But is there any way it could be like the
Having a planet with 15% allegience isnt really useless. You also gain the fleet com , crystals , metals , logistics for research , PLUS a very far away planet to trade bonus with , potential tactical ,chace of artifact. 15% allegience for the most part just means that the planet isnt raking in the same amounts of credits that your homeworld is. As it stands , I like the balance whereby your homeworld gains about 8-15cps and other planets only get up to 0.15-4cps becau
"New artifact/planet exploration system allowing players to spend resources to have analysts and scientists survey a planet's geography, indigenous wildlife, and core industries to determine how best to exploit the natural wealth of the planet" I can't tell anything new about it still...was it included? At first I thought that the game gave you three options for surveying the planet. But I realise its all included as one thing like it used to b
Windows XP SP2 1.6 GHz Celeron M Processor 420 728 MB RAM DDR2 ATI Mobility Xpress 200M 256mb DirectX 9.0c Broadband bug : Whenever the two Skybox options are turned to off in effects I get an instant sync error when the game starts. I remember i used to have difficulty because I assumed I had to log in with the email and username thats in the store account thinking that the SDC will also store it too. Actually , SDC did not have a record of the email and username because it was only registered to the store. I had to create a new account rather then say im an existing member. Once I created a new email and username , i just used that and entered the serial and viola. ..i think this is what happened. hope it
Selecting the pips in the bracket surrounding the planet icon is useless. It selects both colony frigates and construction frigates with it and everytime i have to zoom in and deselect them manually which is tedious. Either have the pips exclude col and con frigates when selected or have a shortcut key which automatically discludes col and cons from a selected fleet.
This is beta test correct? How are we ment to test the game properly when only one race is included, the balance should be tested between races.I have never done a beta test before when most of the game is kept for a suprise. I guess they could have beta 4 for balancing. Beta 3 for multiplayer bug testing. One thing tho , if we concentrate on just balancing TEC well this beta , atleast this gives a solid measurement to balanced the other races a
4.50am in Vancouver. I think they are still asleep. Assuming the first thing they do when they get into office is to upload the game to the servers id say you have atleast 4 hours to wait. Lucky you tho , im in Asia time , so im still undecided as to whether to just goto bed and wake up the next day KNOWING its out , or wait until 2-3am not knowing its out but getting it earlier
