PUGs have definitely been the epitome of fun in Sins of a Solar Empire

As a self proclaimed Advent specialist ( read that as I dont play other races [e digicons]^_^[/e] ) There are two things based on micro and technique... Hit them early before they get flaks out. If you kill enough illums, then they will have to switch to making more illums to match your illums/Lrfs rather then increasing flak capacity. When you make carriers , they ARENT part of your fleet. They are hunters , regard them as solo hunters that move into enemy ter
At the end of the day ,heres what should be set in stone.... Firstly Surrendering is worse then quitting. So dont even bother touching the surrender button. Secondly. ,If you are dying or want to quit then CALL IT . Tell everyone you think the game is over. Use Enter and type! 1) CALL IT -> TEAM WINNING their battles -> DONT QUIT 2) CALL IT ->TEAM LOSING their battles ->
In interest of the game community, I feel we should not point out names of people you feel suck. Just remember their names and don't play with them. The game has a small enough online community and any blacklist is useless because of smurfing so instead of blacklisting these said noobs TEACH THEM TO PLAY BETTER! Everyone improves, everyone wins.
Not true ! In such a small community its really important t
Whats your mod about?
Question... I know its a diplomacy expansion I only play Locked team games online. Will the expansion effect me. Basically is there anything in the expansion I should be looking forward to , even tho I only play locked teams?
If I wanted to play this game single player I would have pirated it.
And you expect a response from the developers after saying this...
Chuck Norris uses Armstice to go to sleep. Otherwise he can't won't stop roundhousing people.
LF strategy can work Firstly the LF strategy relies on creating a condition whereby the enemy overspends on its counter which is LRFs. You however limit the damage taken to your LFs and at same time create the LRFs counter which is the Carrier. So here is how micro works... Understand that LFs sitting still firing at LRFs sitting still..theres only going to be one winner. So Start circling LFs. Move the targeted LF , then use the other LFs behind it do cheeky kills on
I dont think we should add the feature of Side v Side. If we add the option , then nobody will "not" use the option. Whenever I get a Side v Side game out of random , Im like Wow cool nice this is gonna be ace . Its nice because you feel safe , or your atleast as safe as the other team and your all together. However if every game started out Side v Side , id be bored of this game by now . I used to say we should have the option , but sometimes its better to force
To be fair, some of the most interesting games I have played (5v5) were where people were intermixed, rather then people rushing from one side of the map to the other (I have a mental image of dodgeball here....). Still, it would be nice to be able to know if someone is going to be totally boned, in the middle of 4 enemy.....
I agree , the random positions makes for variety , especially if you play 2-3 games eve
Can we put the default autosave time to 5 minutes. This way if a game dumps , you would be within 5 minutes of dump if everyone decided to restart.
You've obviously gone to great lengths to try and find the game in stores , and online. (ebay doesnt count because nothing goes to the developers). I think its okay , but nobody can really tell you that , because everyone has their own level of morals.
I reckon I could devise a pretty good map for 5v5 or many 5v5 maps...
Ahhh this is wierd... I had a multiplayer game, where we had a player in the pocket position inbetween myself and allies , It was right at the start and he had just captured his first asteroid with the Egg Cap. He then minidumped (confirmed) , and the AI immediately surrendered forcing the game into 3v4 , which was mildly annoying.
Jail cell with a 56k connection , that would be irony.
Or maybe he greened up , then alt tabbed out to surf the internet , because PUGS tend to take 30-60 minutes to sort them themselves out
Considering getting Demigod. Just wondering if any Sins players I know form multiplayer have it too. ( or had the beta)
Ive got a few extra tricks.... - When you find that you have no time to micro your scouts to move more within the gravwell because your focusing on a battle or something , you can use the left side bar (pinned grav) and make the scouts move from one rock to another rock and back and forth. Not as good as circling , but its the only movement u can apply to the scout without looking at the grav. You can also go back and forth from the middle of the grav to the aster
The most important resource in RTS is "real-time" Now think for a second how much time is wasted in sins in repositioning viewpoint The answer would be lots . I would hedge a bet that most people will get from one grav to another through mouse wheel rolling. Roll out , then roll in . Try it in-game and see how much valuable "real-time" is spent doing this. Now what I use ,that many dont unless their mouse wheels break or they ha
guy doesn't press the surrender button, but instead presses the quit button
Wait ! , Surrender is broken because it causes the AI that takes over to be inert. Some noobs will always be noobs and leave when things dont go their way regardless of how their team is doing. Forexample players like Ender. If that noob was on my team , I would hate it if he surrenders. Atleast the AI can stall the enemy .
100 Migrators with Starbase Research and whole load of monies hahaa Can you imagine the carnage if it was a team game 5v5 , and there are 4 enemies preoccupied with 4 of your allies.
