supcom was a good RTS but it lacked anything special it felt like i have played this befor and got boring very fast

well meybe on you capital ship you could do that
yes good point so instead of just mass random bombing you can actually have a plan and some tactics
it would be cool to see inside the ship and see the crew figting for their lifes or even better being able to tell the crew what to do, such as move and reinforce a certin part of the ship, but that would be a pain in the butt if your running a whole battle at the same time so you could have preferences on what you would like to protect and allocate a percentage of the crew to protect certin parts of the ship and have AI run it for you
well if you bomb the ice caps the coastal citys could be destroyed
multiple ships can* be bording at a time
what you could have is larger ships can be uprgraded to have harder armor so that those small pesky ships ramming you will now blow up on the surface of the ship and not cause alot of dammage adding on to the ramming idea, you should have some ships that are bording ships or ship outfitted with bording pods so now, adding on from the crew members post, you could have a battle inside of the ship, which also you could have upgrades to the ship to make the crew more hevily armed
(srry dont have the beta yet just watching videos) i think that when you are bombing a planet there should be enviromental consequences for example: You nuke the north pole and now the planet is being drowned making it easyer for capture or by consistently nukeing a planet you can create nuclear winter or green house effects that could kill the planets lifeforms and render it un colonize this could make the attacking player think about how he/she is going to capture the planet, b
