As advent I have to play defensive whole game and hope I lure them into false sense of security while I slowly tech up to Heavy Cruisers. Once I got 20 Heavy Cruisers and about 20 defense vessels, their fleet of cobalt+Flak+LRMs are toast. And luckily they been spamming whole game so they cant rebuild, and they have no way to counter it :/ (Carrier 75 crystal, and they haven't teched Kodiaks at all).Seems I been going for HC with Advent A LOT lately, and it is a sin.
N
Competitive gaming has been breathing life into games since they were created....typically games were made to be competitive.
Uranium, I couldn't agree more with your post. The reason I don't play starcraft is that memorizing the ONLY way you can build units means it isn't a game, just clicking buttons.
Think of it this way: a build order is a matter of efficiency. After a series of played games, the player eventually (if they aren't a total idiot) recognizes some basic constants that typically are good for doing in the early game. It's not like your whole game plays on "build w,x,y,z attack her
On the carrier Genesis, a member of Voskov’s armada, the ships lights flickered red and danced off the wall to the accompanying alarm. “Attention all hands, fighter pilots are to be on the hangar deck in 30 seconds, repeat all fighter pilots to the hangar deck,” sounded the voice that Lieutenant Max Baer was so accustomed to hearing when a scramble was called. The call to general quarters and for pilots to scramble was no surprise him, and he had already begun to don his flight suit wh
My only question is why would an oceanic world have a large population? Other than that, it looks and sounds good.
Uh, I dunno what you've done wrong. I tested it again last night and I had none of those problems... try reinstalling it.
Setting up a little more, it'll get more fun the next time I post: The ships tumbled through the phase lane into the space of Vulcan IV, a forbidding world named after the Roman god of fire and volcanoes. On board the Righteous, Admiral Voskov was setting his plan into motion. On the main screen he was bombarded by a mass of fleet icons representing his own, and that of a Vasari battle group on the other side of the gravity well. In the usual fashion, he had set out a scout
Fairly epic, I enjoy your style.
I'm glad it didn't blow, I'll write up a second portion (and perhaps daily additions) to it sometime when I have some more sleep - and probably after a sins game.
Ah, here we are, the beginnings of a TEC themed story. Criticism and comments would be greatly appreciated! "Admiral, the people on the fringe worlds of trader space don’t have the time to wait for your fleet to assemble!" chided the administrator of Sector 958Z to Admiral Dimitri Voskov. "You need to get your ships on the move and out there, now!" he said. Voskov was irritated by the stupidity of this man. How did such arrogant, rash, indignant fools rise to the top of an empire
love it, but I wish there were some bigger fight scenes.
Good fun, the cap ships are now quite powerful - they make a good centerpiece.
I play a lot of rts and this game just takes too long. Games should last at 2 hours at most not just starting the big battles at 2 hours. The should have trhe resoucres double thier exctractiopn rate. It would spped it up. i just took 6 hours to finish a game. that is to fucking long! Edit I play Age of empires 3, star craft , sins , c& c 3 , + more that i am forgetting about ( all rts) And if you say i cant beat you in a long pa
We had some more problems, but after quite a few version exchanges we got it to work out.
What's the key? Print screen? Ah, hidden folder, thanks.
For vasari I've found two routes that work equally well. 1.) Focus on massive expansion and a large and supremely powerful early military - use a kortul as your capital ship as it is simply the biggest tank. 2.)Focus on holding the amount of worlds you deem neccessary and run up the tech tree to returning armada using the smallest defense force possible. Enlist your ally/allies to help you defend if possible. 3.) Use a similar strategy to #1 but work with imperial labs to
Pah, small frigates, bombers, heavy cruisers, and generally any well balanced force will make mince meat of LRMS. They can't really stand up to a fleet that has a number of smaller support ships equal to theirs, they will die. Capital ships will get utterly raped by them, though.
The Vasari are a race that have seemingly no benefit, but when you look a lot closer into their tech tree, there's the phase stabilizer tech tree that leads up to the eventual "Returning Armada" ability. I've used this ability extensively in team games and I have come to the conclusion that it is simply too powerful. A Vasari player who successfully employs this ability in conjunction with multiple phase stabilizers per planet can simply have a massive and powerful navy delivered to him in a ma
Well I ended up having a fleet of max popcap (vasari), it probably had about 2 Desolators and a Kortul as caps, and the rest was comprised of around 50x Enforcers, 48x Carriers, and some number of flak guns and frigates that I cannot remember.
That's...ah.... a lot of planets. What's the radius of your star man?
Hey i am considering buying this game now i was a big fan of homeworld and wondering if it plays similar? I am a huge RTS fan I've played the majority of the Command and Conquers and all warcraft and Starcraft games. Now i got burned on pirates of the burning sea MMO because it wasn't great. This game looks epic and I'm wondering peoples opinions because i am on the verge of buying this.
Aw
