Guess that's probably why it has never been a problem for me, minor detail. :D
cwm33
I play purely singleplayer and have never had a problem dealing with them (and also enjoy using them), so the lack of dealing with people cheesing them in multiplayer probably changes my opinion a bit. :D
Bah, I'm a research heavy player anyway, guess I can live with that.
Quoting cwm33, reply 6Cause I don't know how to do that, haven't played with the starbase entity files much, hasn't been a whole lot I've wanted to change up until now. Open it up, delete the reference in ability 4 (at the top of the file)... and that's it. You're done. Quoting cwm33, reply 6Nerdrage posts would still have bumped my thread and got people to look and read it, so I think my t
you could have a look in 'BuffPhaseStarbaseSameOrbitbodyDebuffRecourse.entity', it has a line that has a duration of 600( 10 minuites) assuming it is in seconds and I also suggest creating a mod and puting your modified file in the mod harpo
I found that file late last night before I was about to give up and that's where I was going to start my un-nerfing adventure (and yes in a
I've been looking at un-nerfing the VR orky so it doesn't have that "nyah nyah you're a sissy now" debuff when it jumps systems, but I'm really not sure where to find the entry for that. Even if I could change it so that the debuff only lasted a second I would be quite happy. Could somebody point me in the right direction please? :)
It's all about empire building to me, I take my time to go as fast or as slow as I want, research what I want and do what I want...because I'm only playing singleplayer against normal difficulty AI right now, and they give me that kind of freedom. [e digicons]:D[/e]
That map is more or less exactly what I'm looking for :D I might take it into the editor and add a pirate planet (don't want it TOO easy you know) ;) Apart from that though, looks like a great map! I'll definitely keep in mind the bit about not forming bad habits. I just like winning my first play through from a morale point of view, and sometimes I like an easy map just for the sake of being able to play a nice relaxing game with no worries. :) I'll probably sink my
I took a look at that one, and it appears very annoying to defend my worlds to say the least. I was hoping to have a fairly secure back end of my empire without having to send my fleet chasing around little incursions, or having to burn a bunch of resources on back world defenses. I definitely don't mind investing an afternoon into a longer game, as I would like to see what it's like to have all techs researched. I was hoping to have something along the lines of a core of around 5-6ish worlds
Just recently got the game, and I'm wondering what you folks would suggest as the best map to start out on having freshly completed the tutorials. I was more looking along the lines of a 3 way FFA so I can see all the races in action at a time. I'm hoping someone can suggest a good map that has easily defensible planets (perhaps them all being more or less daisy chained so there are minimal phase lanes), or has very good bottlenecks that are frequently available. One thing I see the g
