..but we're not going to detract from historical precedent jusr for the sake of being PC either. It's true that hundreds of years have passed, however, and the two societies are very different. The Iron Cross is their insignia, though, and that's reflected in all the media we've created. Ships in the mod don't tend to have those sort of things on their hulls anyway.

so you don't have a website or any members? and your name is clearly taken from a Muse song? i think most of the other clans are already having recruiting problems. perhaps it's not a good idea to make your own.
If you don't have positive comments or at least constructive criticisms to make about the mod, just leave it alone.
it's somewhat difficult to make constructive criticism on a mod that doesn't exist. discussing how this is _not_ the way to start one is about the only thing you can do. this sort of thing is both a waste of the community's time and baiting the OP into unrealistic expectations.

if i wanted to be a dick i'd be one, OP. i just don't care to make endlessly specialized replies on yet another "i have an idea of a mod off an IP someone's never heard of!", so I decided to standardize it. do you find checkboxes antagonizing?

I love all the people saying that if the detractors would just stop being meanies, that physics can be broken, like the universe is The Little Train Who Could and all you have to do is BELIEVEEEEEEEE. A lot of posters are so utterly entrenched in BOOM BOOM I BLOW UR SPACESHIP UP and not with a basic introduction of general relativity. Continuing to debate these people is worthless, but good luck if you're going to continue.

So you decided Sins of a Solar Empire needs yet another attempted total conversion mod. Here is why it doesn't. This idea is: [ ] Already in progress [X] Someone else's IP [X] Someone else's _niche_ IP [X] So niche as to limit the available # of modders available to work on the project [X] From an IP that has no visual media [ ] From an IP that has only stylized media [ ] Is somewhat original but cliche (i.e. a thinly disguised clone of Halo or another

fyi a Quadro is just a regular Geforce with different drivers, unless you do CAD it won't do much anything different for you good choice on the corsair, though. though, you can do fine with their 450W, while it has a low "wattage" it's a single rail PSU with high amperage and can power even a 4850 system easily also yeah, you can do whatever PSU you want as long as it physically fits inside the case. it just (/ is rated to) spits out power at a series of certain standardized vo

watts don't matter watts don't matter watts don't matter any stupid PSU manufacturer can put a ton of amps on the 5V rail or divide it up into a ton of 12V rails that are insane to balance do not use watts as any yardstick when selecting a psu end of story
I've bought a lot of video cards in the past, and I've come to realize that cutting-edge PC gaming is a perpetual game of catch-up.
Then you really suck at PC gaming. The 8800GTS is pushing two years and it still plays anything released this generation smooth as butter.
If Helio can make this do everything XSI MODTOOLS can do quicker and easier
It can't. Modelers know there's a lot more to modeling than basic meshes. While this is great if someone wants to make a mod for themselves I hope to god none of the major teams start adopting it as a replacement to a real modeling tool. Even if the program UV maps the models it creates, there's a reason people still do it by hand. Skinning these things is going to be impossible.
Not only that, but the second law of thermodynamics, otherwise known as the law of entropy, says that everything in the universe is winding downward from a state of order to a state of disorder. Without an outside force, nothing in the universe can become more complex. So how did we get a hydrogen atom from nothing? From where did DNA come? According to current scientific THEORY (not law), life came about from a state of disorder to a state of order. How is that possible?
<br/
I have the 1GB 8800GT...fantastic card for reasonable money. I'm a happy customer.
you'd also be if you bought the 512MB 8800GT because the 1GB GT is a way to prey on consumers that don't know anything about VRAM and just think MORE MEGABYTEEEES = more power
why ?
because you'll get sacked with a mediocre build and pay out the nose for it. it's likely that by buying the parts you could get at least a substantial GPU upgrade (for example 38

i'm still trying to figure out why we make cars have increasingly heavy frames to resist crashes from other really heavy cars rather than just making everything out of lighter materials cost?
