I like it acctually, its a nice touch. Do you have any screens of the new star system stuff?I know you put up the textures and what not but I mean like in game screens with the mod in use?
No the forge tools have not been release yet, and they will be needed to implement everything in game. I can put in each set one at a time by replacing the stock textures but this would be too much of a pain to do. Once the tools are released and it's implement, i will be replac
Hey yall, new to the forums and all, but I really like the game its definitely awesome and lived up to all the hype. I guess I only had one complaint, and its the diplomacy aspect of the game? I'm not sure if I'm just not doing it right, but it seems really hard to keep any allies in the game, the constant missions they give you to make them like you are sort of unreasonable, for instance once they wanted me to destroy 5 tactical structures, and i attacked this guys world and he had none,
Is there a Max Amount? My initial glance tells me that 16 is the most. That being said. A Large scale game would seem to become nothing but a zerg fest if 16 capital ships is the most you can have. 100 planets. 16 capital ships?? get the picture.
yes 16 is the max in default game but as with everything else this can be modded once the tools are released, although i feel 16 is enough it makes you have to use support cruiser and frigs other wise if you h
I put all my games on slow research. Speed is ok, I'll would like a slider for the build speed as well. The over all game speed can stay the same.
I like slow and long drawn out games, one of the mods i had planned for my Sin's Enhanced series is to drastically slow down most gameplay elements, will probably also make one for those that likes really fast gameplay too eventually. The first part of the series deal with graphical enhancements to space, che
3 complete new star types have now been added along with their back ground colors. I do believe i'm not going to add anymore colors for now until we get the tools and i can get these ingame to make sure they work as intended. Next thing i'm going to work on now is to experiment with the starfield.dds file which looks to be what places the distance stars ontop of the backgrounds. currently they are all white, i'm thinking about putting some variety in the colors there also mor
There's no intentional size limit, no. (there is a bug specific to firefox that causes the entire thread to cut off if it gets so long though) To keep things under control though it's a good idea to use thumbnails or text links if you have lots of images to post.
will use just links then to be safe, redoing thread now since i'm an idiot :P

There shouldn't be any need to reserve replies for additional stuff. You *can* edit the original post at any time via the Tools menu at the top. I created a new thread in the modding forum for my upcoming mod and reserved the first 10 posts after the initial one, but why do i not have the Edit Option to edit these posts i created? i just get the reply and quote option but not the edit like i normally do when i post here. thanks
Can't wait, I love better graphics since my computer can handle it. Even when my comp can't handle it, these types of things tend to give games much more longevity in terms of graphics (like they did with Morrowind and Oblivion).
These have only had limited testing in game and will remain that way untill the forge tools are released and we have access to the binary files so i can implement the new stars and textures along with the recoloring of the default ones. Testing
Wondering if it could be a possibility to have somewhat of a persistent world mod and clustered servers that sort of thing. Something that may involve a drastic increase in game length and more players. If anyone is currently working on something like this, I'd like to get more info, just to follow up on your progress. Just curious as to what I might be able to expect in the long run from this excellent game.
I really doubt this is p
Hi, I recently played a game vs 5 ai. I'm pretty sure they all allied against me in the end. I have read many posts about people having issues with the ai breaking alliances, giving hard to complete missions and generally being hard to team with. Question 1: Is there a way to check if the ai is allied with other ai players? Can I check an enemy ai's diplomacy ratings with the other players?
I believe the anwser to this is no. i forget the reason why. [qu
