I never questioned the competence of blizzard, i know that what they have achieved both as a company and as developer is remarkable. I simply do not like the design choices they have made when it comes to RTS games.

Well, Warcraft I and II are, much like CnC (the first and true one...) the Grandfathers of RTS. I deliberatly left them out becuase i wanted to focus on the generation that followd. There are several more RTS games i could have talked about, the Earth series for example or the vast amounts of failed titles, but i wanted to keep the eye on those titles that, at least in my opinion, shaped RTS Games. I think you will agree that Dark Reign, Totala and most prominently Starcraft hav
You're hereby pardoned ;)
Strategy, Real Time Strategy has come into bloom over he last thirteen years. What this is about. Supreme Commander 2, details are out. ( http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?i
Well, black prophecy certainly looks more promising to me. I know the jumpgate fans will probably lynch me for saying this, but im not excited at all by Jumpgate Evolution. Thank you for poiting it out to me, the prohecy somehow eluded me up until now.
Space, the final frontier that we trespassed over so often already. Star Trek, ghosting around the media landscape for over fourty years now, has always been a part of my life. Seriously, when i was a kid i watched TOS. When i transcended from teenhood into adulthood i watched TNG. I also watched Deep Space
I like this not being too much like dota, for dota sucks. In my opinion. ^^
run speed + heart of live = god mode Beta version.
Tip for al lgenerals: buy bishops early, then use the O button to place them on follow. They will constantly pop heals on your general when ever he needs it and their cooldown is up. A bishop heals like 700 hp a pop so use it. do not issue orders to your minions (unless you want to focus something down), let them follow you. Strategy related: siege gunners.<
i'd like to add: why buy a 50 euro copy from atari if you can just buy it for 30 euro from impulse? What i always said: please shoot the middleman, thx.
[quote quoting="post"] In another thread there was a discussion of abilities, and one of the posters mentioned adding abilities, which led me to think about Guild Wars. Im posting what i posted there and thought i would ask what other people think of the idea? re: >> What I'd really like to see is for cap ships to become like starbases, in that there are vastly more upgrades than there are point
I would like to add: You can equip the TB the same way. You also can switch t ofire then back to frost to get a decent damage boost. Now, combined with the damage boost and the boost from the items you are up to paar with most melee chars, and you cna still nuke/freeze/shatter them.
Err. Actualy stardock said that impulse and the distribution of patches via impulse is their way of drm. And compared to what others companys did and still do, i say its an acceptable way. As long as they do not force me to have impulse running at any other time but ME wanting to CHECK up for patches or interesting games....
Hope so. and then we REALY need a mute.
[quote who="comanoodle" reply="1" id="2179304"] Quoting kryo, reply 2 We usually do demos, just not until after release. We feel our resources are better spent making the game as good as possible for people who have already bought it or will definitely buy it. Then once it's in good shape for them, the people who need convinced can be looked after. Then you need to change your tactic. Include the time you need to work on the demo in the relea

What you said doesn't even make sense. well im starting my training in game developing soon and u need exprience to tell uwhat makes a good and bad game and what can be improved and what cant like the re
light side is getting just as much 2v1 so i don't get the point of this thread. It's not like the light siders have any influence over how often people drop out of a game before the loading is complete.

Lets pit the dotakus vs anonymus. Interweb Armageddon.

Removing the crystals would help, or at least increase the distance to travel.
err... but they still do damage if left unchecked and if the other player puts up some support, even the AI will kill you. It should probably net less gold, but not no gold.
[quote who="Etheric" reply="16" id="2177720"] Quoting Levelheaded, reply 15 I don't live in canade so i can obviously not tell you where to go. Here in germany its the same place you rent DVD's and blurays, a videothek. Of vourse some games will never show up there (heavy drm) but the nagain: i boycot these types anyway. Well, atleast you have that option! How much does a 1-day PC game rental cost there? &nbs
