Ironduck_727 did you get the map working in the end or still unable to see in any of the map listings?

If you turn zoom to pointer off the both of you will notice a big difference.

If you view is on a ship you can just press esc to release focus. Also note the option that either zooms to pointer or zooms to focus.

If you think that map is too big try the maps that are just under radom small in your map chooser. These are 2way maps that have 7-10 items as well as the sun and so can be a nice quick starter game.

ironduck_727 it has to be created in the galaxy folder in your program files. This is where the game is installed. It will not work if it is in the folder under documents and settings. The location of the folder is slightly different in win2k xp and vista however you have to create the text file in the galaxy folder where the other maps are and not the custom maps folder. I am sorry if this is no help. If you update with what your trying I will see if I can make better instruct

If you get this map working then you should also get your own ones working. You can also check you text file against this one.

Thankyou for you kind comments redwing, I have now added a link to a screenshot of the map and some flavour text to the OP in this thread.

Please update if it is still not working correctly. I have tested it on my pc but there may still be errors that I have missed.

I shall re-test the map I am on 1.04 as well. I will also follow up with some backstory for fun and a screen shot of the map so you can all see what your downloading. I have changed the file to remove a space. Could you tell me where you put your file and what you called it?

I am not sure the best way to distribute the file so I have added it as a google doc. Install instructions. Make a text file in your C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy folder called 4way.galaxy and past the text into it. Save and close file and open sins. You can then play the map by finding it under medium maps. It is called 4way and has no picture. <hr sty

All you need to do is forward 6000 and 6112 both as TCP. In actual fact you can get away only forwarding 6112 TCP so there one easy port to forward it could hardly be easer!

I am in the UK and got the boxed game from stardock and while it was being shipped I used the stardock download to install and play the game. Kyro could you have a sticky about this? People keep asking and I am sure you want them to speedily buy the game?
