I have to admit that I totally agree with the thread starter. ;)

There's an important difference between piracy and stealing a game from the shop: The game from the shop has a real value, stealing it causes financial damage. Disc, manual, box and shipping cost money, putting it on the shelves costs money. A pirated copy has no real value, since it is immaterial. The only (and not measurable) value it has is the money the publisher MIGHT have earned, if it had not been pirated. This of course does not justify piracy. I just hate these "pirates are
Bonn in good old Germany
I'm still waiting for my copy. Has anyone in Germany received his copy yet?
The achievement seems to be bugged at the moment. The current maximum culture spread is 50% according to the game statistics.
Congratulations! I hope our European distributors are biting their own posteriors for not having released Sins on the European market. ;)
Since I don't have a console I can only guess what you mean by that: Bad and cheap elevator music? ;)
It will happen! Another highlight for PC-using sci-fi lovers after Sins. :CONGRAT: [link="http://investor.ea.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=88189&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1107184&highlight="]WWW Link[/link]
It's not related to the timer. It took me almost an hour to finish off the AI and the problem remained until the end.
Yesterday I had to forcefully remove myself from the computer to witness at least the last two hours of three days of the best weather we've had for months. And what did I get for my efforts? A f****ing cold. :p But after a whole week of staying up late with Sins and cursing the alarm clock in the morning it felt good - somehow.
Well, the only counter against a siege weapon spam is never to let an opponent get enough resources and tactical slots to build them. Keep up the pressure. Though I have to admit that this can be difficult and sometimes impossible especially in large Multiplayer games.
I'd try to copy the text into a .rtf (or .doc if you're using M$ Office) and convert it into an ebook. You could use the ebook creation plugin for M$ Word to create an ebook for the M$ Reader or the free Mobipocket Creator for the Mobipocket Reader (which I'd prefer) from that file. But it's clearly a do-it-yourself thing. ;)
And you have to research long range jumps from your civilian tree. ;)
The Novalith and its counterparts are well done. There's nothing to complain except perhaps the missing easy accessability via the empire tree. In my current game with 6 star systems I have just conquered my neighbour and used his more remote worlds to build 6 of the Advent siege weapons and set them on auto fire. They do not only fire at planets in their own system but at other systems too. The result is quite nice: my offensive fleets are liberating another system from a player who has exp
Yesterday I encountered two somewhat annoying little bugs: I was allied with one AI and had just finished off the other AIs when I selected "keep playing" to finally deal with my ally. For some reason this did not cause his orbital structures to become target for my fleet-AI - my ships automatically killed the enemy's ships and reduced his planets to ashes but they ignored his structures. Even when I ordered them to kill the structures they repeatedly "forgot" their orders. Additionally, aft
I personally find the ESC-binding more natural. Never liked that F10 thing. :p
Congratulations to you people at SD/IC! You've created a great game and it makes me happy to see your work rewarded. The success of Sins clearly states that people want something new, a game not challenging them simply by speed but by depth and the need for careful thinking. In other words: True strategy! But there's more to it than just Ironclad's great work in programming the game. Never before in my long years as a gamer have I felt more respected as a customer. This begins with Stard
Try a colonization frigate. They should be able to do it.
Damn. Downloaded the first 21% with almost 2 MB/s, then the speed dropped to 5 kbit/s and stayed there. Wanna play! NOW! :SNIFF!:
I have to admit that I found the cheap milk I once bought in the US tasting somehow...unusual. Thank goodness that our food quality standards forbid such products to enter the market and I can safely enjoy my breakfast milk. ;) Oh, and if those special brownies are ready, I'd take one, too! :d
Yay! Cold cow juice + hot waffles! Time for breakfast!
The pre-order FAQ stated that we would get a serial number for downloading Sins via e-mail. Since I've pre-ordered the boxed version including download via SDC I'm not sure if this is also true for me. The question is simple (I really don't know why I was to stupid to come up with it before release day): Getting a key via e-mail for download and the box with its own key would give me two keys. Does this mean that I won't get a key via e-mail but have to wait the long days (weeks, more probably)
00:00 am their time, 05:00 am GMT (?). At least that's what I hope. I don't want to wait until evening because the people at Stardock are still dreaming of a successfull launch (which I really wish them to have), naked women (I'd take one, too!) and stuff like that.
If you're in the Euro zone, a simple calculation may make you pre-oder the game from Stardock. The collector's edition including download from SDC plus shipping costs 60 USD. With the the Dollar's current weakness that's less than 45 EUR, even with credit card fees for international transactions. The German standard price for a game is between 45 and 50 EUR. Collector's edtions usually go for 55 to 65 EUR. I expect prices to be comparable in most of the Euro zone. Do you need any more ar
