Sins is also provided something most games are not, communication and support. BF2142 could have been a supreme game, but so many people had so many problems. I still can't get it to run on Vista, and their response to me was, "It was not designed for Vista..." blah blah. Prices are going up, but when the service is there...no one notices.

Watch for the computer "trading" colonies with you, example: You secured one of their colonies, colonized it yourself and started to build it up...you move your main fleet on to the next controlled location. The AI will invariably hit the planet you took with some siege frigates, even their fleet(in the area) if it means sacrificing the colony you are attacking, to kill the minor one you recently took. Good opportunity to trap some of their ships, and make them go boom. <b

Nice, BSG suits the Sins engine well. Options could be based off of either the first war, or a "What if Baltar didn't..." type deal. Imagining a Cylon strike where the Colonials aren't defenseless, and could fight back! ...strange as it sounds, my biggest hope of any BSG story is eventually reaching Earth Space, only it is not just Earth, there's an entire Terran Federation of some kind...that turns the Cylon into goo. While I suck at modeling, Hearts of Iron taught me a few

I force her to play...naked. Then I win twice! *dodges the rock* Owwie. ...strange question, but even if we don't win one...I'd probably buy it to support ya'll. More money for you = more games for us, we win twice!

Not perfect, taken with my wonderful, government issued BlackBerry...(shh!) Me at work, spreading the love of Sins! Who cares about the Sims, or Warcraft, we want Sins!

The question is...do "Melissa and Kim" play?! har har I'm probably one of those who e-mailed a query because the USPS sucks down here, and I don't care if they read my opinion about'em! How do you lose a W-2 and a new credit card? They managed it! Regardless, thanks for the update - I think it was the void of information people got confused in - was it shipping, wasn't it. Learning experience for all! But everyone remain happy...for tomorrow you play a 200 planet g

If Atari makes Star Control, it won't be with Reiche/Ford who created I and II. As they've both said many times they wanted nothing to do with III, and offered no help in making it. They've got their own company right now, under Activision. Atari could make one in the way that Sierra/Monolith split, but each made their own version of "F.E.A.R." Monolith kept the real people from the game, Sierra kept the title. SC3 was...an abortive attempt at money making, it...collapsed in

Toys for Bob still owns the rights to the Star Control storyline, and as The Ur-Quan Masters remake was allowed, they're pretty lenient! Toys for Bob website indicated as of Jun 07' they talked to Activision "The Parent Company" - so who knows. Star Control isn't Star Control without Paul Reiche III and Fred Ford (who started Toys for Bob) Regardless, Sins is a nice reminder of how space games used to be!

Decisive battles. There was a lot of talk of B5 influence, and so far the only battles of an "epic" nature I've felt are against other people. I want the computer to stand and fight...people talk about "intelligence" and running when you can't win, but the more you run and abandon your colonies, the quicker I've stripped everything to your homeworld. And yeah...some way to prevent ping-ponging AI that won't attack me, but won't defend their colony either. They tend to run fro

Some fashion to prevent "ping-ponging" enemy fleets would be nice. The way they'll trade one of their nicely propped up colonies to destroy the one you just took from them is silly. They're trading away quality, for...nothing. Why not give phase engines a 1 minute cooldown when not in your own controlled territory. Adds a sense of continually expanding outposts and such. Not a perfect solution, but meh...beats chasing two enemy capital ships for fifteen minutes of nothing ge
there is no one "most powerful fleet" because it largely depends on the situation. although, I have to admit I have a weakness for advent fleets composed of many capitals (after I research mass transcendance) with supporting shield-cruisers and LRLs. kickass, I swear.
^-- what he said Advent won me at the first..."Strength and Unity" moan.

Sins will go on if they add one more slow speed, or one more fast speed. Jumping to the conclusion that adding such an item would kill the game is a slippery slope at best, and wacked fear at worst. Name calling, insulting, mocking and deriding helps no one - it merely drives people apart. If this community would focus more on the good, than the bad - it can work through anything. Who cares if they add, as you call it, "Dur Dur" speed - make friends via the forum with people

We should all want Sins to have at least SOME of the accomplishment Starcraft had. Love it or hate it, its longevity, and investment return for Vivendi/Blizzard was...anyone, anyone? Massive. I want SD/IC to accomplish that with Sins, so we can see an X-Pack, ship designing, outposts, whatever. ...tonight, before I quit in sheer anger, the AI did what I feared...blitzed my base with a main battle fleet, then sent in their siege units. It saddened me.

This thread makes pandemic flu seem like nothing. Why does everyone feel the need to fire back at...everyone? Don't be scared to say nothing. As much as people might thing, "This is a knee-jerk patch," people are acting in a "knee-jerk" reaction before even seeing the patch. Give the thing some time.
