DL Magus

So far I love this game, pre-ordered it about 2 weeks b4 it came out so I didn't get to try the beta, and I'm not the best player, but still, its fun. A thought occurred to me though of how to make it even better. The "Problem": Alright so this isn't so much of a problem as it is an annoyance, the Empire tree is great and all, but once you start expanding (and i mean really expanding, like moving on to other star systems) then it becomes to

your both stupid and probably high.... with that being said i agree!

Europe - The Final Countdown

What I'm wondering is can i have my ships jump to (for example) the middle of nowhere? or the halfway point between planets? I ask because If I can then I could jump them to just outside the gravity and attack from several angels at once, witch could be a useful strategy, for those who aren't sure as to what EXACTLY I'm asking... 1.) can I jump ships anywhere? or just from planet to planet? 2.) can I jump them to a midway point (if #1 is no possible) on the paths between planets, or
