From what I understand they created this game to run on a wide spec of hardware... and from what I've heard around these forums leading up to the release date their minimum specs should run the game quite decently...
Dr.Gonzo
I am developing an affinity for this game as well, I just have tons and tons and tons of stuff to figure out... excellent job on polishing the game, it looks and runs fantabulously... The only gripe I have is the short tutorial, but as others have mentioned, getting ruined by playing other people/AI is probably the best way to learn.
Try archiving and installing in safe mode... stuck for me and a few others at 7%... also try install on a different HDD and make sure you have adequate free space [and all the other obvious stuff]
How bizarre :-D
SAFE MODE INSTALL FTW!!!
Is it possible that this is a CRC problem?
I have the same problem on my end- everything downloaded fine but it hangs at 7%... have rebooted, will reinstall SD and let you know. Spec: ABit FP-IN9 Core 2 Duo E6600 Corsair XMS DDR2 [2gb] Nvidia 8600GTS SB X-Fi Plat WinXP X64 Pro Also to be noted is that the install won't cancel once it hangs on 7%. Update: Reboot is a fail. Download and archive is a fail. How can I delete downloaded files and just transfer them over again?
No more so than navies passing by one another and waving.
Any hope of modding so they knock each other out of the lane and have to fight for the right to pass? ... any?
I'm worried. I had an old account with star dock with my username i like to use. I purchased SoaSE with a new e-mail and i'm worried about Stardock not letting me download due to my receipt e-mail not matching my account e-mail.
They can merge them under one I believe- They did for me.
Still a day early- is the pre-order information supposed to be on my account information along with serial numbers for other purchased StarDock software or will it show up tomorrow after being processed?
Good of an excuse as any I suppose. Your lack of enthusiasm also shows by coming to the forums, registering and telling us about it. Very little interest indeed ;)
Way to go guys! I hate the consolization of games... I understanf the business behind it... I just also hate it. Fight it and Im a customer forever! :-D
Copper heatsinks... 100% pure copper heatsinks will go a long way for juicing performance out of a Dual/Quad core CPU. Im 50% O/C... absolutely 100% stable. Copper copper copper. None of that stock cooling stuff. I have XMS2 memory on a 1:1 FSB:DRAM... the stuff flies :-D
From what I've heard and understand the digital downloads will be available *sometime* on Monday... I've -heard- 3PM GMT, but I couldn't confirm it one way or the other- The most accurate answer thus far seems to be somtime in the early afternoon on the 4th of Feb... Anyone know better feel free to let them know so.
Oh... recent news... Spore = delayed and EA = $33m loss. Might be a while, but I am still laughing about that "quality" joke.
It may be a sign EA has a new-found dedication to quality.
*picks himself up off the floor from laughter*
Yeah, wth is with $15 shipping anyways!?
Are the drivers for the Audigy 2 functioning correctly? I remember when I was using an Audigy 2 it caused problem after problem. Also, any CPU or GPU overclocks?
Tesla cars are vaporware to this date- and probably for some time to come. They've quietly laid off a good portion of their staff [including development]. I think they made a whole lot of promises they're having a hard time delivering on. Besides, what's the point of driving somewhere so I can wait 12 hours with it plugged in to drive anywhere else? This car makes absolutely -no- sense in the grand scheme of things... Add in the costs of manufacturing and disposing of 2000Lit
You consider Crysis to be competition for Sins? Are you kidding me? The only thing Crysis was good for was making my [not so insignificant] system look like a Mac Classic. It made me cry; I uninstalled it. C average for Crysis, end of story. I think Sins can manage better being that: 1: Not utterly focused on how many dynamic light sources and photorealistic textures it can fit onto the screen at any given time 2: It's an entirely different genre of game
Yay overclocking! I don't visit a whole lot of forums though.
More over-hyped, over-priced EA junkware. You want to be marks, suit yourselves.
