What about an ATI Radeon X550? Is the 9600 older or newer compared to my card?
someone gave you a pirated game as a valentine gift? So you are a girl uber gamer who is a hardcore opponent of piracy and you want to report the guy who was enough of a nerd to give you a video game... and a pirated one at that (so you know it cost him nothing)... actually you don't. From your post you assume he bought it then made you a copy. That is hillarious. He downloaded it for free and gave you a copy. either throw it in the trash. Or play it now
It's okay. I kinda understand. I don't like being told what to do myself, unless I'm asking for advice. For your information though, I asked him, and he said he bought it at a store that sells pirated games. For under $5 too. Why he told me the price of his "gift" I'll never understand though.
Thanks Sibilantae. :) Anyway, If the key that came with the pirated game isn't a serial number, then I think this thread has just about reached its usefulness, seeing as I'm probably going to use the CD I got as a coaster. As for Bob211... I just want to say this: I love you too, in a completely heterosexual yet mildly inappropriate way. *holds you tightly and squeezes gently*
Perhaps I should have just taken a nuclear missile to this thread. :(
I think Stardock has some very progressive policies on not requiring cd keys/cds, which makes gamers lives a whole lot easier. And no doubt there are probably members of the youngest generations of gamers who are happily filled with glee that they only have to convince their parents to buy one copy of this game ( ie siblings ). But like the guy a couple of posts before me said. If you can afford a place to live, and all the accroutements that g
You can download the Stardock client and it's all setup to get onto the stardock IRC channel
Thanks. :) As for everyone else, thank you for your responses. I wasn't sure what that key was, so I was wondering if Stardock could track down the user or something. Anyway, I guess I'll wait for the demo. Thanks for the info though. :)
You could jump on IRC maybe you can get in contact with someone who can help you out there, it's quicker and might actually get some useful help instead of some other posters in the thread. *rollseyes*
Ack. UNfortunately, I'm at the office right now, where IRC is currently disallowed. EDIT: Where would I have to go exactly, if I were to get on IRC at a later time?
Burn it, now!
Not a particularly helpful post to my dilemma, but thank you for the support all the same.
Hello again. As I've previously mentioned, I'm a gamer who lives in the Philippines and who, under normal circumstances, can't readily pick up a copy of the game because they don't ship it here and because I don't have any form of online currency. As a Valentine's Day gift from a friend, I was just given a pirated copy of Sins of the Solar Empire, complete with the serial number of someone who probably bought the game specifically to pirate it. I don't want to play th
Not from Europe, but I'm in one of those countries that might not get the game. That being said, I wish I had a credit card so I could buy it digitally... :(
Is there a way to share and showcase maps? If I can't play the game (Long story, mostly having to do with geographical location), I might as well get featured as a map maker. :D
WOOT! Now that's the info I'm talking about. Idiot-proof. :) Thanks Ishonay. :)
@Binsoy For one gig, at my current internet speeds, it'll take at least... oh, 15-20 hours. On and off on my computer, that's about a week.
Hello again. I just checked with the only Philippine distributor of original games out here, and their site doesn't mention anything about Sins of a Solar Empire coming out in the Philippines. Furthermore, they can't order the thing for me, which means I have to do it myself. Here's the thing... I've never done that by myself, so I need your help. I figured out that I need to do this through digital download, but I don't know the necessary steps to do it. Heck, I'm no
I'm the LURKER! RAWR! :D
There's a Cinematic View? SWEET! :)
So an RPG gamer like myself can just sit back and relax? Oh good. :)
Hello. Sorry to bother everyone, but I just thought of a post I wanted to ask. You see, I'm completely devoid of RTS experience, barring the first two missions of Starcraft, if you think those count. Can I play this game more or less like a Civilizations IV game where I don't really have to fight or anything if I don't want to? I mean... just explore and colonize and make ships and have things fight (and win) for me automatically? I read some previews, and th
If you can see these forums you can get the game. It is that simple. The only thing that may be an issue is the localization factor. The Total Gaming Network (TGN), the digital distribution arm of StarDock (SD) doles out all its electronic goodness in English.
Sorry for the double post. Just noticed your reply now. :) Most Philippine gamers are fluent English speakers, so that's not a problem. The main problem will ei
Yeah... and I like to keep a collection of the boxes I own for the games I've bought for my computer, which are mostly RPGs like Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate or Action RPGs like Diablo.
Thanks Chip. I'm just worried about connection issues if I try to download the thing, which is why I prefer a boxed game. :)
Hello. I'm kinda new to the whole Strategy gaming thing (Starcraft and its ilk have always made me cry), but I've been reading the beta diaries on QJ.Net and it's made me interested in the game. My questions are, is Sins of a Solar Empire accessible to newbies, and will it be shipped to the Philippines? OH! And one last question: Since you have updates and stuff online... will there be a way to get the game and patch it with all these new goodies through torrenting or
