Thanks very much Rogue!I did make one small change to your instructions which seems to be causing me a problem... I didn't want both the AI players on one team against me so I set the player2 TeamIndex to 2. I followed all the other steps above and it was still randomly assigning me to one of the three home planets. Can this still work with three teams instead of two, and if so, how? Thanks again.
If you don't want them on the same team then just don't alter their team ind

Hmmm yeah I could see this happening. Like start you off on a really small map with say 10000 of each resource or something. You could chose whether you had different stages of research so like 1st tier 2nd and so on. Then people would just build and build and try to conquer a set number of planets first. That's so people aren't hiding at their base just building a huge fleet. Whoever gets say 3 planets first wins. Actually now that I think about it you could make a scenario jus

When you say you disabled your router did you physically disconnect it and plug your computer directly into the internet connection? If you are using a DSL modem or cable modem those still have ports and firewalls built into them. I suggest what you do is go into your router and open up port 6112. Make sure you are using the right IP address to forward the port. The best way to find your IP addy is to go to START on your computer click RUN then type in CMD. From there type in IPCONFIG this
To your first comment you can move your capital so its more in the middle of your empire this will help to incure less of a loyalty problem (and therefore more income) as has already been mentioned with trade ports and max pop even very low loyalty planets can generate money
That's exactly what I was going to point out. If you relocate your capital to a more central location it always boosts your local income. Also, if you

I had the same problem with this, it turned out I was using the wrong IP address the whole time. First you want to make sure UPnP is enabled on your router. Then you want to go to your port forwarding and open up port 6112 from your router. Use the IP address from this: Go to Start on your desktop. Select Run. Then type in CMD. From there type in IPconfig This command will give you your IP address that you should use when forwarding your port on your router. This should open the

You could probably get one of those check cards that you put money on and can only spend that specific amount. I am sure American Express offers one as well as Visa. That way you wouldn't have to worry about someone finding out your information and your money would be safe. Definitely try to get the game, if Galactic Civ is any indication Stardock and Ironclad are experts at supplying constant updates and tweaks to their games.

Maybe like an military research? Personally I like my stations stationary so I know they are covering vital structures. I usually leave a handful of ships at planets I would fear bombardment at.

I have enabled UPnP through my router and through the the network services from the control panel but when I host games no one can join them and they just get a message that says "Disconnected from the Server" instead. What can I do to fix this? Nevermind all fixed I had the wrong IP addy. If you go to start and run file and type in "CMD" then at the MS dos prompt type in IPCONFIG you get your correct IP ADDRESS.
RadRadRoboTank, If all you want is to destroy ships and buildings then why are you interested in a game with 4X in it? Why build your empire if you don't have any empathy for the citizens that die, or the losses you incur? You should play starcraft or homeworld, where the effects of war are inconsequential once the mission is over. death and loss in those games are without reprecussions.
Starcraft is old and played and I

If the morale of a planet fell too low and they rebelled from your empire could you attack them to get them back? But then their morale would be low again and they would rebel again? I think this type of thing would lean towards spending resources on propaganda to keep the war going and having to do a lot of political juggling to maintain your planets. Personally it sounds like a lot of work when all I want to do is blow up ships and pillage planets.

The real problem I have with it is how can they use some lame excuse like "It takes time to process the orders." When they could have processed all the orders yesterday or the day before that and then had the e-mails with serial codes waiting to launch when the game was uploaded. This way the people who pre-ordered would recieve their product first before people who waited for it to be out. The point of pre-ordering is to reserve a copy for yourself so that if they run out of the pr

uhg and I preordered this morning so now I will be one of the last ones to get a serial number... sigh. I guess I should have skipped the pre-order and just waited for the buy now option.
