Out of curiousity, will you guys be responding to the emails you send out, so that we know you received our information?

Guys, I ordered mine online too, but I think the point of the contest is to show the product at a retail chain.. because it's a pain for good indy companies to get into brick and mortar stores. That's why I went down to Fry's to take the pic, despite having bought it online.

Don't disqualify me for my picture being up and down randomly- my web server's fan went out! lol I'm replacing it tonight.

OH! And guess what Ironclad! Every Gamestop I know of in the Las Vegas/ North Las Vegas area is SOLD OUT of Sins! They've had dozens of requests for it, too! One guy got mad at me saying I kept calling asking for it o_O
Cause you can sit back and build a nice defense, then build up a strike force and then kick some butt. That's the general idea.
Ok, humor me. So you're saying is, turtling should be a valid tactic, because it delays the game, and ends up in the same result? You build an army and attack the opponent? Turtling has always struck me as bad game design. This isn't Stronghold. You win by killing your opponent, not an economic or point victory. <
Prof if your only argument for a nerf is that it doesnt cater to those who are completely devoid of skill with the game (aka they bought it a few days ago and are understandably not idiot savants) then you really need to put a little more time into mastering your games instead of complaining to have them reduced down to the level of baby einstein puzzles.
QFT.
= Siege frigate rushes are NO DIFFERENT. It's a cheesy tactic that has no real functionality against ANYONE who sees it coming. It's ONLY good at killing newbies. Like flash tank rushing in TA, or zerg rushing in SC. This game is FAR more tactical, and even an HOUR of commitment to learning can teach you how to counter this "killer strategy" that ProfC absolutely refuses to accept. Funny, I thought you all ag
Could the bomber siege have been easily stopped by fighters though, or was Tokyo caught totally off guard? That is, would a commander with fighters under his command have been easily able to stop the raid?
Yeah, actually. Tokyo was just caught off guard, because we used long range bombers launched from carriers that weren't supposed to carry them. Siege frigate rushes are NO DIFFERENT. It's a cheesy tactic that has no
There have been plenty of battles in history, or even wars, and never, not once, was there a well co-ordinated plunge into weak areas of an enemy's territory consisting only of siege units.
Oh really? So world war 2 never happened? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombing_of_Tokyo_in_World_War_II Or are BOMBERS not considered siege units in our day and age? Not only that, NONE OF THEM CAME BACK.
Oh master of Sins, please continue to share your great wisdom of video games and their development processes with us! Us ignorant newbies could not live without YOU here to explain the mysteries of our "epic failures." Since Ironclad and Stardock certainly must agree with your total dominating brilliance, will you not continue to impart more of it upon us?
I accept your challenge, knave.
You guys are quite the duo. Not only are you both vastly superior skill-wise then everyone else
Maybe it's a conspiracy? Maybe we're hacking? Maybe we don't jump to the conclusion that we are so good at this game, that within two days of release we know ALL tactics we lose to must be imbalanced, and NOT our own failure? No, that makes too much sense.

Nah, it's pretty typical for an RTS launch, Spartan. I've been playing them since Dune, and despite my hope that this game CLEARLY STATING it's a "4X" game and people would realize that, apparently there will always be the people who don't.

I'm actually confused by the OP. His complaints about the game are either because of lack of ability (Losing to pirates? lolz, is he even building a capital ship?) or because he never looked into what kind of game Sins was. o_O
Wow, that sure is a logical point there, it was made earlier, on the same day, by a different developer, so that means it's wrong! Genius!
Considering the later dev post was FAR more detailed and broken down to NUMBERS? Yes, I think so too. Thanks for agreeing.
I never referenced to any page, I simply posted a quote from a Stardock staff member. Really, Schod, I like you, but sometimes.......
He's saying, as I stated, that my quote is from page 3. You are some how arguing with an EARLIER post versus a LATER post. *rubs head* I can see why you're leaving Schod. Some people just won't read.
There isn't. That's the problem. You can deflect all you please, but NEVER should ten CRAP SHIPS that you can build in the first 30 seconds of the game be able to bring down a HEAVILY defended planet system. With standard game speed and resource settings, it takes a bare minimum of three and a half minutes *just* to get the mere capability of building siege frigs if you go straight for them at the cost of all else. It then ta
LOL. Why am I not surprised about his eminences arrogance. Yep, there isn't a problem, despite the developers acknowledging that there might possibly be one, you guys just suck.
Never mind the fact someone from Stardock posted on page 3 stating EXACTLY what we've been saying all along? It's just not practical to build a fleet of siege frigates against a player that can SEE you doing it and eat you alive.
