So you're saying it's cool if the clicks are more spread out then.
I hear a lot of "Its a 4x game, so it should take awhile", when in reality its a mix of 4x and traditional strategy, so in trying to cater to both crowds it must address this concern. It needs a faster game speed meaning quicker build times, research times, lowering resource costs...and only slightly, unit movement and fights because too much on this ruins it. Faster speed also turns
Then this game is obviously not for you. If you can't put aside a few hours for a game, then you arn't a gamer. Did you even read what I typed out? Just because I can find the time to play the game doesn't mean that the other people in the multiplayer game have that time free as well. I don't care if they

I look forward to visualizing this as I play my next game.
So the AI sends missions to other AI?
It does seem like it's really easy for the computer to create alliences within themselves.
So, where would I even start if I wanted to do something like this? Would I have to use 3DMax or Maya or something? I don't even know if those are real programs... :SNIFF!:
I can e-mail my savegame to someone if you dudes want. Email it to and add a note what they should be looking at. Thanks
Thanks for the addy. It's sent.
omfg its a 4x strategy game i actully like that its soo slow more time to think and when i play i have to keep spending resources without thinking about what i really need them for otherwise they just stockpile and i feel like one hel of a loser but no this game is epic get used to it i have one game right now i custom made it with about 250 planets im already about 15 hours into it and its still super awesome diplomacy is acyully useful now because not everybody is s
Company of Heroes is probably the best RTS game to come out in a good long time you should at least try it before outright dismissing it as another StarCraft or C&C clone. It looks like they're adding more speed options in the next update though, so now all us young turks and you old geezers should be able to play at the speed we want. ;)
Well I'm still waiting for the people in my 4 person multiplayer game to show up. We saved at a great time, but can't fine a good time for all of us to show up IRL. If the game woulda gona faster it would have been done already.
I have this too. I thought I was doing something wrong, and the map I'm playing on right now is so large that I totally just the one ship out of place. If you mouse over that particular ship it will show a line going to the next gravity well. The ship won't attack unless I give it a specific order. I agree.
Are you guys actually playing multiplayer , or are you just talking about single player? Can you really come back night after night for however long it takes to play out an entire game? It's like some people here live in a dream world where anything too different from MOO is anethema. Have fun only playing one or two different games every 5 years. If you play with a core of friends, then yes, you can

Bombers. Just make sure there are no flak frigates around. Also if you scout around and see he has a bunch of LRM frigates try and manuever it so he's meeting you at a spot instead of the other way around.
I play a lot of rts and this game just takes too long. Games should last at 2 hours at most not just starting the big battles at 2 hours. The should have trhe resoucres double thier exctractiopn rate. It would spped it up. i just took 6 hours to finish a game. that is to fucking long! "xboxerdude"... I suppose the "a lot of rts" you play are C&C3 and BFME2? Right? Well let me tell you something, those games are not rts ga
I think it's because it throws a wrench into anything he would have planned out. Playing 1v1 there's a chance that the computer will sic them on you and pay out enough money to alter your plans in other areas. In larger games people and/or the computer can gang up on you to put the bounty out of reach for you unless you sell metal and crystal all the while grinding your expansion to a halt. It can be hard to deal with, but not impossible. I guess people want 'hard' on their own terms.
I would like to see the Pirates raiding when they're not trying to collect a bounty and ignoring the bounty if attacking trade ships is more profitable. I'm not sure if I said it before, but almost destroying the pirate base then having them spawn a random fleet is lame, but not something I give too much thought to.
We're not the ones coming to the forums whining and complaining about the game, you are. And by you I mean all who want the higher speed settings.
Well no. There are people complaining that it's not slow enough.
Like the super units in SupCom right? Maybe they could put it in an expansion. When I'm not playing this game I'm thinking about it... Work gave me the $$ to buy it but not the time to play it :(
and i have yet to see a valid counter to saving a game and then resuming it at a later stage other than the impatient (i don’t want to as i want it all now)
We're talking multiplayer right? Not just the computer, but with one or more human beings. If I'm ready to play and you're not or vice-versa then the saved game is useless. I want to finish a game, not play virtual phone tag with random people. I'm sure that I could eventually plan out
Core 2 Duo 2.66gz 2 GB RAM 8800 GTX well I havn't had any problems yet but depending on your Vista settings, your OS could be using up to 1.4Gb of RAM all by itself... (I'm running 4GM ram with Vista 64 bit and vista itself uses that much if I have Aero and a few other background stuff opening) .6GB of ram is still pretty big but if your running sims and your Virus Scanner start
How does giving some people the option to play a fast or slow game force other people to play the same way? Imagine someone's sitting in the game browser looking for a pick-up game set at "normal" speed. All they see are a list of games set to "adrenaline junkie" speed because. To put it another way, it has been my impression based on observation that the majority of gamers will always opt for the fastest speed pos
