This is really annoying no mini dump info.
I would say I waited 2 or 3 minutes maybe I can try that when i get home but i dont think thats the problem> But you never know If anyone else has ideas would help. I'm at work right now just trying to get ideas on things to try so hopefully I'll be able to play some tonight.
I installed a fresh copy of windows last night updated directx, nvid drivers and sp2. I'm running athlon 3500 64 single core 1 gig ram and 8600 gts. I had no problem on monday when i installed it it worked flawless. Only thing that is different now is that i have the newer nvid drivers. I had a older set i believe on monday when i installed it. when i launch the game it goes to black screen and just sits there I have to control alt delete out of it dont see anything on mini dump.
Know one got any ideas?
So yesterday i got the disk boot failure and resolved it with a format. So i reinstalled windows put SP 2 on and downloaded the new nvid drivers. I really want to play I had a nice game going on tues that I lost in format so eager to get back up and playing.

Sweet thanks. I havent really had time to mess with it much started doing it on sunday night and i work till 7pm every night so not alot of time to trouble shooting being that i go to bed around 10. So if you guys could give me any info would help. Oh and it works sometimes as well it took me 15 restarts last night to get it into windows but it did then worked fine then crashed over night when i left my pc on. There is a blue screen that pops up but it goes away before i can read any of the
Means my hard drive just took a dump correct. My boot up screen says disk boot and please insert setup disk. Means just need to replace hard drive correct?
I think the New Jedi Order book series would make a good game but theres not alot to go off of as far as design models and such since nothing has been released other then books with the yuuzonvong bad spelling im sure but people who read them know what im talking about.
no thats fine you answered what i needed to know. Like i said it was a n00b question im not use to playing space rts i did EaW and that was about it so dont know all the correct terminology for this stuff. Thanks for the info.
I have only played the game for like an hour last night before i went to bed. Just wanted to clarify what you guys are talking about when you mention that its not the phase lanes correct? If its not can some one explain to me what they are. Yes i know its a dumb question but im at work and i didn't do beta so just please respond to my b00b question.
No there is no story mode they wanted to perfect the skirmish/multiplayer portion first
I cant wait to really have a chance this weekend to sit down and be able to play for a period of time. I was pretty clueless about what i needed to to starting off other then what i know about every other RTS. I have to say this game is one of the best for the type of game it is for something thats in depth and takes a while to play this game takes the cake. I like how it takes a while to do every thing its not a game that you can push a button and win in 5 minutes. I keep seeing people
thanks for the info i was kinda shooting in the dark last night. I didn't bother reading crap I didn't get it installed until 9 p.m. and played for a bit I didn't want to waste any time reading i just wanted to try it out.
The game was very well done. I'm deeply hate playing most rts games online due to the fact that you can mass rush some one with one type of troop. C&C was horrible with this as to where ive never played it online. I'm glad to see some company has enough balls to make a good rts that you can't finish in 10 minutes by building the cheapest ships/troops possible and rushing some one. After i played for about 30 minutes i tried different strategies that I have before by trying to take as much la
i called ebgames and game stop by where i live they said unless some one pre ordered it that they probably wouldnt get it in and i was wondering wtf since gamestop is listed on the website as a place to buy. since no retailers have the game today i had to nag my wife to let me buy it offline and pay more.
God can't wait to get home. How long does it take to download. Well how big is the file anyway that would be more accurate since i know my dl speeds and you guys dont.
Been reading your forums after searching for a week or so and I found this game. I want to thank everyone for getting me addicted to reading these boards. Just curious as to player feedback for system specs and how well everything is running and how high graphics are setup. I'm running AMD Athlon 3500 x64 single core Gforce 8600 GT OC 1 gig ddr ram and 80 gig WD hard drive spec edition back in the day of 2002. Anyone able to give me feed back on as to how high my settings might be
