See pirates are usually some of the most clever people in the gaming world. I know quite a few that play many online games including WC3 and World or Warcraf and Guild Wars, you name it. Without paying a dime.
with WOW they arent playing on blizzards servers with the paying customers though , theyre playing on private servers that are run with the stolen server code of blizzards , you dont get thousands of people on the same server because they dont have the hardware for it, i
I don't see TV shows as "piracy". If it aired on TV it should be completely free for download. It' stupid to try to restrict its availability after it got aired for the whole world to see.
i dont know about in america but in the UK nearly all the terrestial channels put there TV shows online for viewers to watch at the times they want to these days. i guess it better that they get the traffic to there websites than some torrent site as they will get more revenue from there
And nobody believes me when I say that piracy is an over exaggerated myth.
people complain so much about piracy because they compare pc sales to console ones but they get there sales figures from an organization that doesnt count purchases of direct download copys. did you know iron lore entertainment closed its doors recently? youve probably never heard of them but there the people who did titan quest and they were doing soulstorm the warcraft3 expansion. <b
AI-wise they don't put enough bounty on anyone.Midgame the AI is putting 1500 credit bounties on each other - I'm putting 20,000 credit bounties.
my reply was based around FFA multiplayer with real people. pirates will always attack the base of the person with bounty that is nearest to them them, so the place getting attacked can play a huge part of the decision of wether its worth it, will it make the guy bring his fleet half way across the map leaving his other worl

i always use bounty as a way to stop someone beeing able to attack me , like if i have 2 neighbours , i will place bounty on one and attack the other. early game when people have small fleets they wont get many pirates attacking them but it can still be useful for slowing people down from colonising planets quick if u can get a nice cheap pirate raid on them
Well, there's still the issue that those that want to quit would choose that "Save and Continue Later" option and the game would still end...they would just delete the save or never come back to it.And requiring all players to agree first? I'm not so sure that being "held hostage" in a game you don't want to continue (for any reason, selfish or not) is such a good idea. I imagine that some players run into playing too late, must leave for a reason as simple as Must Sleep, and quit.I don
alright noted, but would that explain the fact the game makes my computer lag even when i have exited the game?
try turning down the games settings so it uses less memory, you dont need planets , ships and structures at there highest settings unless you zoom in on them to admire there glorious textures all the time, just keep ship effects up high.

heres the answer i got when i said i wouldnt give my cdkey to them but they could contact stardock with my email address if they wanted to make sure i had a legit copy of the game.
orry Luke, I was only trying to expedite the process. If I can't get the cdkey from you it will take another day to verify your address with Stardock (they are closed atm). We didn't care about cdkeys until we realized that a good portion of our support was going to helping people who h

if you use debugging tools for windows (which you can download on the MS site somewhere just google search) , click open > crash dump once its loaded and the dump file info loads type "!analyze -V" in the text field without the qoutes. most of it probably is memory related issues but you can get lucky and it will just be your soundcard or graphics card drivers causing the problem.

longshot but try https://www.stardock.com/support/ enter the email address you used when ordering in the box and you might get an email with the serial number to the games if the order really went through .if you did download https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/ goto tools> settings > games choose sins of a solar empire and enter the email address you ordered with and the serial key, you can now download the game on the "games" section of that program.

TEC superweapon is just pure win i had 5 of them on gateway in an MP game the other day i just set them to auto fire enabled and sat back with a huge grin on my face :) advent one is just lame a whopping 4% mitigation isnt doing much and if u build 4 of them and constantly bomb planets it would take forever for them to fall. vasari one only seems good for pirate bases

in civ4 anyone could take over your race if you dropped out but you could password your race to stop anyone else taking over aswell. already made a thread suggesting it https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=406&aid=176008

dunno why people seem so addicted to culture, ive tried playing advent and culture bombing but it doesnt really alter the fact that if someone has a bigger fleet than yours they can kill your fleet and then proceed to whipe out all of your planets without you beeing able to stop them. the culture bomb superweapon is complete and utter crap compared to the other super weapons aswell. i had like 4 of them the other day and they barely made any difference at all , maybe if you kept lob
