If you've had a game where you were entertained and/or even learned a few new tips'n'tricks, why would anything said really matter? Sadly it often does. Just because an unit has an automated explore feature, doesn't mean you [I]have[/I] to use it. If you can manage to control the game more manually, you'll often be rewarded. This is what makes a good player even better. It sounds like the players complaining about it, are just feeling a bit inferior as they use the automatic approach. When it has happened to me, I jump into sound options and move the UI-sound up'n'down. Seems to have been working, but it might just be the the act of opening the options page?
As a consumer, I don't buy things just to give my money to some one. I want the product, and that's the reason I bought this game. But compared to other games, this game I just instantly bought through direct download. No need for a demo (I find demos gimped most of the time anyway), just open the wallet and hoist up. I would be puzzled! I mean, standing behind a counter in a store and each 20min, some people come in, picks this game, poses and takes a shot. I would get very suspicious. Keep those pictures rolling!
One change I really would like to see.. When managing and building at planets, I tend to use ctrl-click to select planets and center on them. I would love to see 2 keyboards shortcuts added, to cycle through the Empire-Tree's plants, select them and center camera on them. Perhaps even more ways to navigate in the Empire Tree.
