To me the problem is that, let's say there's a 'DUR DUR' option for uber-fast speed. This gets around, sales skyrocket, and now the game is clogged with these players, to the point where the people of whom the game was intended for are pretty much drowned out by the balance demands of the 'DUR DUR' option crowd. Yes, options are great, but you have to consider what changing the game too much, even gradually, in a certain direction w
Why doesn't Ironclad just add a "fastest" speed? Seems like that would serve a lot of people with a nominal amount of work. Yep, thats what many people are asking for. Additional "faster" speeds. They are not asking to change how Normal works, or anything else.. So it's difficult to understand why some people are so viciously against it,

The AI is pretty good. Unfortunately it won't fight you unless it is sure of a victory, so most of your time is spent chasing them in circles around solar systems. :( They need to change that about the AI.

I like the game, I just want there to be a few more specific unit counters (some frigates counter other frigates which counter capitals) with small bonuses in a rock-paper-scissors style. That would encourage unit diversity instead of just "LOL I MADE 10 BATTLESHIPS AND 500 FRIGATES I KILL UR CAPS I WIN LOLOLOL". It would also make tactics important instead of just ganking the capitals over and over and over. A faster game mod would be nice, too. I'd seriously like to play the game at t

Hmm. I wonder if it is possible to create a "faster" or "fastest" game speed by tinkering with these. It'd be pointless without combat changes, though. Maybe a corresponding mod multiplying all damages would do it (I think ships take too long to kill anyway)?

Movement would be nice, but it seems kind of late for it to be patched in. The frigates involved are pretty big, but if they had traversing gun turrets they could still orbit the target. It would case lag and make primarying targets harder, though.

I still think the addition of a "very fast" mode would allow more people to have fun, without forcing other people to play it. Why NOT satisfy more people? I've been playing fast, competitive rts since I was 8 or 9, so I want the option of playing it faster. I'm good at these things, and I don't like waiting. I don't have time for 4 hour games, and it is hard to find somebody online who will rejoin a saved game the next day. I'm taking college-level courses, SAT tests are coming up, my

Phase hopping is probably one of the biggest issues in the game. It really has a detrimental effect on gameplay. I think jumping out of a hostile territory should take 2 or 3 times as long.

While I enjoy sins, they do need to add a "very fast" gameplay option. For me, as a competitive RTS player, things just take too damn long. I don't like having 30 ships and still have it take a few minutes to kill a capital that has no chance of winning. I don't want to interfere with what other people consider fun. I respect your opinions. But add a faster mode for those of us with differing opinions! I'd like to play a game that takes 30 minutes to an hour to complete on a small map o

I'd like to see a list of comparative DPSs and armor type values. I like the game, but I wish there was a bit more rps. Even in Starcraft, certain units are better against others and you want one type to take priority over another.

Build a capital shipyard, then build capitals. :P Your first capital is free, but it usually requires the first fleet size upgrade because of the huge supply it takes up.

Are there any counter-units in Sins? I've been playing since yesterday but I can't really figure out the benefit of making cruisers or other types of frigates. I tend to just spam carriers and whatever frigate does the same damage type as bombers, or spam battleships and whatever frigate does the same type of damage as them, then upgrade that damage type. Do LRMs counter cobalts? Do beam cruisers counter LRMs? I'm just trying to get across what I mean, i'm not actually asking about thos
In this situation, you would do very well with TEC LRM upgraded to splash damage. LRM get a bonus to damage versus Cobalts. Of course, the winner of this fight will be whoever micros the fight the best.
LRM would be the missile frig, right? And how do you micro? Take out all the support THEN primary the capitals one by one, or take out the capitals first?
