Why don't they make all the enemy planets explode? Parade music? SOMETHING exciting. Winning is just boring. All it means is the last 4 hours of slippery-sloping is over. I have to agree, it is very underwhelming. In Supreme Commander, the enemy commander explodes into a nuke. Can't get much more exciting than that.

I usually grab 2 civics buildings before I go military, so I can get ice/volcanic colonization abilities. No upgrade you can get with one lab is worth it that early, anyway.
They serve as a way to "skip" planets by sling-shotting around the star, and the fast antimatter regen is good for using them as a staging area before an attack.
Oh, to add to my previous post- PJIs desperately need to be buffed. Defensive lines are completely meaningless- anybody who says they "stall" enemy fleets obviously has not had 200 heavy cruisers make 3 jumps through defended planets to their home system. :( Turrets are also for the most part useless.
A game speed twice as fast as the current fast. This is the most important thing for me, I REALLY want it. I don't have time for 4 hour 3v3s so I can't enjoy this game unless it speeds up! Almost as important- the ability to open games up for more players to join. It would be awesome if people could join an in-progress game if somebody has dropped, replacing the AI that you are planning to have take over when players drop. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that all defense (except hangar defense) is useless. Turret platforms can't kill anything. They just get popped one by one. Phase inhibitors are mostly useless, too- all they do is slow them down by a few secondsG. I understand there were issues in beta, but seriously... I'm really, REALLY tired of people phase warping around the entire system with 200 ships, completely unhindered. And don't tell me about ion bolt- that is one ship for one race with a low

There should be a 5-6 military lab upgrade that doubles the effectiveness of siege frigates. That way planets would go down faster and the game would end more quickly. The sad thing is, I can usually tell who has won by 30-40 minutes. The next THREE HOURS are just slippery slope. :( That is one big problem with this game- if you fall a tiny bit behind in shipcount, you are going to be behind the rest of the game (unless they make a mistake). The slippery slope factor is huge.
Early game it is retarded that people can afford to get 3-4 capital ships. I lost a game the other day on Point Blank because some guy just turtled his base, build 4 capitals, and jumped them in and out of my capital (couldn't catch him) until finally my fleet was dead and then he blew up my planets (despite him only having his capital, I killed everything else). What ships do anti-capital damage?
I want the game two be twice as fast as it does currently, in every aspect of the game (combat too). Period. A "Very Fast" game speed that makes it so would satisfy me.
LRMs + Kodiacs + support capitals = all you need. I agree the rush to heavy cruisers is sort of silly. The other cruisers are pretty overlooked. I also like your solution of making upgrades more effective, it would help safeguard against spam in a lot of ways. Since I got the game i've been asking for the upgrades to be more effective. Could anybody please explain the math behind it? Does it essentially extend HP by reducing incoming damage? By how much? How big an effect does upgrading it have? What is the multiplier?
I think my friend said they were running from a virus or disease, but i'm not sure where he heard it. Personally, I don't know.
When can we expect this? I think a "Very Fast" mode twice as fast as the current "Fast" would be cool. I'm not much of a slow game player, so I don't know what people would like for the "Very Slow" mode.
Phase inhibitors suck. Double the effect, or shrink their radius and make them stop jumping ENTIRELY. Phase jump tag is just stupid.

Phase inhibitor should completely stop people from jumping out until it is destroyed. An interdictor cruiser with a smaller anti-jump range would be nice, too.
