Most of the time, when you tell a capital ship to attack something, it'll bring its most powerful weapons to bear against the target, which is just fine. But while it's doing this, what are the rest of its weapons doing? The Kol, for instance, will fly to the edge of its range, stop, and engage with the forward batteries, but unless you push it in further, the port starboard and aft batteries remain unengaged. Same goes for the other classes of ships in all three races. Does anyone e

I was playing a small map today just against the computer, and thought of something that seems to work well for me.. I do the usual thing with building repair posts and stationary defenses to ward off pirates and siege groups, but I also found that if I post a few frigates at that planet it makes it about 300% more effective. Tricky part is figuring repair coverage for them and getting them to stay *in* it. Also I have to remember to turn auto-join fleet off, otherwise passing fleets have a te

Being an old Starcraft and Command and Conquer junky, I've developed quite the nasty habit for using hotkeys. I love my CTRL 1 through 0.. always very handy. Mixing this with fleets seems to be a bit tricky though. My issues below: 1) If you hotkey just the flagship of a fleet, it certainly works well for moving the fleet around. It allows the fleet to act on its own and still maneuver, if somewhat disarrayed. BUT, changing the phase coherency doesn't change it for the fleet, nor d

I get the message "Wrong version of Ironclad Online detected. Ensure you have the latest update" when I try to get on to ICO.. now this seems like it should be fairly obvious, but I haven't seen anything like an ICO update. Am I just missing something?
