Yes, the conceed will help a lot I think. Sometimes winners and losers, are both ready to end the game. But since some love the feeling of seeing the enemy citidal crumble while hearing the announcer broadcast their victory (A reward for their hard fought victory), I usually ask if they'd like a conceed/GG, or to have me fight to the end. It's been about 50/50 so far which they pick. But they are going to really need to do something about the rage-pouting (afk'e

Try starting a game against the AI. In the options menu (while you are in the starting lobby) you can turn the game speed to "Adjustable". After the game starts, use the + and - in the numpad to turn the game speed to -10. At that speed, you can mouse over everything, and take you time reading stuff and chosing talents/spells/items. Turn the speed up or down however it suits you best durring the game. Yes, a couple of my other game friends were pretty shocked b

There are a multitude of things all leading to hard feelings with this game. Ragequiting (because you are losing, or because you THINK you MIGHT lose) is just plain rude, unless, they impliment the conceede option. I think that will help a lot. Kind'a like when you tip over your king in chess to conceede the game. Rankings are going to be needed too, so experienced players can play with like players, and noobs or people that just want a "fun" game can play together t

This has happened to me multiple times, since I first got the game. Usually, I just wait about 5 minutes, then try to log in again, and it works fine. I'm guessing it has something to do with the game thinking your still online (because of the crash), so when you try to log in agian, you can't, because it thinks "you" are already still online.

If you've played City of Heroes, TB and Reg are "Blasters"; if you've played WoW, then consider them "Mages". Melee = death usually. Also, when you start online, you may be inclinde to fight to the death, and run in "bravely", but in this game, every time you die, you stengthen the enemy, so not getting killed is one of the top priorities. It can be very counter intuative if you've played other games where the same behavior is a good strategy.

Speaking of QoT, and kind'a off topic, I played a game this morning, and 3 of us were pounding on a QoT, and we could NOT kill her. Seriously, I think I/we were level 9, she was 10 I beleive. It seemed impossible that she would not die, but even with a TB, Vapire Lord, and me (Sedna/Pouncing) we could not kill her. But I'm guessing that could not be a cheat either?

Well, the bad news is many leavers may become griefers with the upcomming improvements. I remember my thrid game ever of Demigod, this one guy on our team starts typing in chat "omg, they are 3 kills ahead of us, it's over!". And he just kept it up for half the game, driving us all crazy. He finally did RQ, THEN we started losing. I'm worried that with the upcomming "vote to concede" option, players like the above will click on the "VtC" button every 30 secs.

So true Ke5trel. So many so called "great players" are terrible leaders. Leadership is about polite communication, not arrogant "ordering". I've seen people on my team tell new players "Cap that %&*$ flag, farm those minions you $%^&, Push here, Lock that flag! Of course, being new, they have NO idea what Cap,Farm, Flag lock, Push, ect even means. So then the ever so bright "orderer" gets all upset because his teammates (who have NO idea what he just said

I agree Infinite. Quiters will quit using a button or pulling the plug. Conceding at least gives them a sportsman like way of leaving. Besides, it's easy (over time) to see who the rage-quitters are, and who the guys who get the DCs are. Usually, the RQs will be raging or complaining on the chat before they "disapear", DCs are usually quiet, or just playing along (or even good players on a winning team) and then "disapear". After the second time you see s

If it's only possible for you to have "fun" when you think you are winning a game, and you think it's just fine to quit on everyone when your not having "fun", go ahead. People you play will remember you, and thanks to Frogboy/SD, you'll soon be free to make your in-game reputation known to all, and they can decide if they want to play with you. Anybody out there: would you rather play with someone that mispells (I have a broken finger btw, and I think I

If the AI replacement gave less, or no gold, you'd at least get a "little" help, but as everyone knows how it is now, if someone quits, not only are you down 1 human player, your also getting a major feeder for the enemy; a double whammy.

Beleive it or not, I think one of the best solutions to a lot of the rage-quiting and bad sportsmanship problems we are having is replays . People seem to act a lot more civil if they know they are "on camera". And now, if somebody does something outrageous, you'll have proof, not just a he said/she said.

The "Death Penalty" in the citadal seems like a waist of money usually. Yetis, yes, I thought I was a totaly noob at first, cause I started out by playing Sedna, and using Yetis, and lost every time (even with level 4 priests/archers/mins). Having to put SIX points in minions to make them viable seems like a waist. Silence? Perhaps there is a great use for it, I maxed mine out many times, and it seems to make little difference.

Anybody else noticing a pattern here? If someone thinks they MIGHT lose (and the list of reasons they say they "might" lose the game seem to be infinite, and are irrelivent in the end), then suddenly they "don't have the time to waist", or they will go afk ("rage pout" seems like a good term for that, and again, because they don't want to get a "Loss" on their record), or they don't want to play with noobs (again, because they might lose). Or the game is an awful, horrendous,
I find this idea terrible personally. It generally takes me much longer than 3 minutes before I realize my team is full of noobs and I don't want to play with them. You do know that narcisism and online gaming is not a good combo? I don't want my time wasted by someone who decides I'm a "noob" and quits 10 minutes into the game.
Thank you VERY much Frogboy, that's exactly

Had a game last night, 4v4, and we had a player on our team DC at the start of the game (actually, had 1 DC at game start EVERY game I tried last night, but that's another thread), but we stayed in; fought, and in mid game, a guy on the other team got a DC, so it ended up being a pretty decent game after that. Hey, that's an idea: If someone ragequits on one team, have the game randomly kick another player off the other team to keep things even. That would make the g

I had the crash to desktop from the lobby thing happen too. I did not think too much of it; thought it was just a weird glitch, now I see others got it too. Guess I'll send in my dump file to help.

Well, I was not going to get DG; got it as a birthday gift. So I had simular thoughts to you when I saw pictures and previews of the game. I like deep turnbased strategy, and "some" RTS; I like RPG too. This game has it all, in medium doses. The fun of the game IS in it's simplicity. Ya, that surprised me too. All you have to do is control your one Demigod. Big deal, right? Unti l you see all the combinations of abilities each

Well, I guess you'd leave a game with me Rain, I usually play Sedna; usually don't get any kills; usually get the lowest favor at the end of the game; and usually save everyone's ass many times. The favor score or deaths/kills don't show teamwork skills, communication skills, or the ability to win games even if your not teamed with other 5-star generals.

Like Silk said, there are "enough" maps, until you take into account connectivity. Every time I go online to play, it's Cataract the majority of the time, because it's about the "biggest" map you can play; bigger maps are way too big for 3 players, and it's unlikely you'll get more than a 3v3 working usually (well, lets see what 1.01 does though now). And the smaller maps, well, 1v1 and 2v2 is not exactly what this game is about (although it can be interesting sometimes), so sma

My friend plays Reg all the time; on my team too, so I'm not biased in saying I really think the "range" of mines, and the way they work are kind'a op a bit; or more'so there don't really fit with the weapon concept at all. My friend just throws them at the feet of whomever he's fighting, and, BOOM! And if there are any other minions/DGs fighting (and there usually are) good luck seeing him casting mines, let alone the mines themsevels. They are more like nitroglycerin th
