Game I played today, Sedna got every heal cast fine. Last game, I think she got "stuck" once. So it seems semi-fixed for me; wonder why it's still affecting others so much still?

As long as you can easily/quickly toggle things like blacksmiths on/off, or have 3 settings: On/Off/Priority, then Camp 3 sounds great. If you have to dig down into ANY menues; or go INTO each and every city every time you want to change a setting, that would cause trouble. That was Colonization IIs pitfall; please don't fall in it too. . .
That's odd, I play Sedna mostly, and I can heal now 95% of time without the "lock-up". Still happens, but rarely now instead of usually.
This bug seems to be 90% gone for me. Not sure what they did. I play Sedna all the time, and now have about a 5% "sit there and do nothing" rate; it use to be about 40%.
I lean/vote towards Camp 1. This is a "Turn Based Strategy" game after all, so your target audience can get the camp 2 stuff in any RTS game. I like Colonization I & II, but there type of economy would be far too micro intensive when added to all the other things this game will offer. Anybody play "The Settlers" series? They are a great example of a detailed economy that is very good at taking care of itself once you give it orders. Also, "
How about: AI replacement gives no XP/Gold to other team when killed. . .
Lan? Will Elemental be "Lan-worthy"? Several of my casual game friends are REALLY looking forward to this game, but mainly as solo and our weekend Lan parties. Without Lan, solo = always bots, right? (I'm not sure how the game will work obviously).
Ya, the chat is very hard to read, and you can't tell easily/quickly if it's an important message from an alli, or a joke from the opposing team. Also, it pops on/off so fast, you have almost no time to read it. Another problem along the same lines is that the announcer (who I LOVE) says the same things, with the same excitment, regaurdless of whether your team made the kill, or the other team did. You think he'd say (with a sadder tone) "You were pwnd" or such when s
As an interim solution, simply make it so if you have to put bots in a game, make is so they give very little (or no) XP/Gold to the team that killed them. Having no bot at all, or a bot that feeds the enemy constantly are both very big extrememes. In the future, after all the new AI mods come out, and the AI is imporved, then you could reset xp/gold bonuses back to normal if needed.
So, you finally got into a game of DG; you playing along, when it says "Xmfortmpler47 assisted by Bygeorgeism2 killed Grothomean878". Unleass you've played with ALL the players in that game several times before, you often wonder "Was that a good message, or bad?"; Did we kill one, or did they kill us???". If the text color of a message was green when your team got the kill; and red when someone on you team was killed, that SURE would go a long way in my book to help de
Well, to give some "silver lining"; I just played a 3v3; got into the lobby in seconds; eveyone in the lobby was friendly and funny; had to wait like, 4 mins I think; game was a bit laggy at times, but everyone on both sides joked; gave compliments (or humorous insults), and it was all GG at the end. So there are plenty of good/nice players out there, I just wish it was easier to friend them, because I can never remember the names of most the people on this game. On a side note,
No matter the outcome, SD and FB have tried harder, and done more communications with their customers (and HONEST communications) than any game comany out there. That = a lot of word of mouth about this game, and may undo some, or most of the bad start it had. Just like playing a real game of Demigod, at first SD ran into a group of 4 pre-release towers, took on 3v1 enemy pirate DemiGods, and really "fed" the reveiwers by dying over
Let us all not forget: Mapable hotkeys . Why some are mappable, and some not, I can't for the life of me figure out.
Frustration & "momentum" too Canine; I thnk DG lost a LOT of momentum with all the connection issues. If I happen to get 3 friends over here, we have a lot of fun playing Lan; but then there's the other 90% of the time I want to play it; knowing it could take me up to an hour to get a game going, and that 3vs3 is about the best you can hope for (I REALLY like 5v5), only to have someone DC or rage quit. But about 1 in 4 games have connected; played smoothly; and had nice players in&n
Is THIS enough kittens for you Azrailx. . .
Showing health bars AND mana bars please. Knowing if your allies (or enemies) are low or out of mana can be so important. I play Sedna a lot, sometimes you can die while trying to type "OOM" constantly. And my allies would know with just a split-second glance whether or not to stay in a fight because I'm near.
A mute button is really needed, yes. I just try to ignore people like that usually; just make sure you friend anybody that does'nt act like that, and try to set up games with them. Like I've written before, new players often think all they get if they die is 30 secs in limbo, so they rush into towers or "bravely" fight 1v3; they don't realize at first they are also giving the other team lots of gold/xp.
Yes, Replays , please! That's my top vote! After every Lan game everyone SOoooo wants to watch the game again. I would love to watch top players games too. And clan wars is really going to need replays. Fix for 7000 series Nvida cards; we can't see many important effects (like the TB circle of fire) that effect gameplay. Also, AI replacements in MP that give little or no gold for being killed to the other team (you'd WANT an AI
It's a fairly simple calculation: A Player quits; if replaced by an AI, the AI feeds the enemy team; you lose (usually, not always). So people have been saying "Don't put an AI replacement", but that's a 20-50% reduction in your team, so you are still likely to lose. Now the replacement AI may be Forest Gump in a Rook suit ("Forest, there is NOT a box of chocolates in those enemy towers!"), but if it gave little or no xp/gold to the other team, any help from it would be
I wrote this in another thread, but if they just reduced or removed the xp/gold you get for killing AI replacements, that solves so much. You'd WANT an AI replacement then, rather than dread one.
Don't forget to take Lan games into account for the multiplayer calculations; we play Lan here the majority of the time. I'm sure if Lan games showed up listed in the MP lobby, you'd see pages and pages of games. . .
Nullzero, I'm not sure how the game mechanics are now for DG kills, but if killing a lower level DG gave you MUCH less xp/gold, that might help things. The reverse could be true: Lower level DGs killing higher level ones could get a MUCH greater xp/gold rewards. Of course, if that's the way the game already works (and I never noticed) excuse my noobness.
Yes Zeh, I was being "satiring"; could'nt help it. How can you not make jokes about guys arguing about the size of their pings. Sorcerous, your French-Canadian? So you get good pings playing with people in Canada and France? [e digicons];)[/e]
Why not replace a surrendering teammate with an AI, but , you get little (or no) XP/Gold for killing the AI. People don't want AIs because they feed the enemy too easily; if they did'nt feed them (due to XP/Gold reduction or elimination) they would actually help a bit (they could'nt hurt). I also vote no favor for quitting/surrendering, but, if an entire team "Voted" yes to surrendering to another team, then, I think they should get some favor.
I found that the 4rth time I press tilde, it shows the hitbars for all DGs, friend or foe, which is all I really need. I kind'a wish it would show mana too, since I play Sedna a lot, and at least people could see if I was out of mana, instead of staying near me waiting for a heal. Sometimes things are so hecktick, you just don't have time to type "OOM".
