scp121: I would LOVE to see you try to cast a game of sins 5v5. If anyone would like to post a good 5v5, that would be awesome... I will try to play a few games this weekend, If i get a good one, ill post it for you... though there will be a patch... tuesday? so might even want to wait for that to come out. hmm... Do you have a youtube channel btw?[/quote
sins isnt totally a 4x, and why the fuck would i want to give an example of a 4x game casted? sins is an awesome hybrid, one of its kind. stop being a noob. Sins is a fully blown RTS when played properly, just as exciting and fast paced as any other RTS. and dont tell me casters dont talk about silly stuff in the first few mins of starcraft when all that is being built is probes and drones. Trust me. i watch a LOT of starcraft casted
Apologies if that sounded like it was directed at you ZJB. It wasn't, it was simply a general response to the thread.
Any news on the AI with frigates or Armistice spam? Also, thanks for the update guys :)
Seriously 2 hour games? I guess I like long space sim games... In any case, I explained Rebellion to my friend this way. "Did you like Sins? Then you'll like Rebellion. Did you not like Sins? Then you won't like Rebellion." At its core it's still Sins... it's just not enough new stuff. Simple as that. I bought the original Sins on day fucking 1 and I love and support this company quite
50 hours in? A stupidly stupid long game of sins lasts 5 hours. 0_O
...What kind of game are you playing? I've had nearly 100 hour games back in Trinity with the toughest AI in a 10 man FFA. 50 hours is reasonable.
I like it, but it's not Sins. The truth of the matter is the AI for 90% of the day to day operations in Sins (read: population, taxes, refinery and trade ships, etc) deals with most of these matters, letting you focus on the war aspect. For a game that's quicker than some of its 4x based counterparts, this amount of micro for a bit of payout is not sins-esq, IMO. On top of that, while your idea seems nice in theory I'd imagine it could be potentially horribl

In the early months after a divorce, young children especially, are less imaginative, more repetitive and passive watchers. They tend to be more dependent, demanding, unaffectionate and disobedient
/facepalm the nova is NOT OVERPOWERED
Overpowered? No. A bit too strong compared to the others? Yes. Well, I'd actually say not so much for the Vasari. Being able to disable everything and jump a titan into your core worlds with little defenses is really strong, and with several of them and some timing you can be all over the damn map with ease. The Advent one either ne
I've not seen mines a lot (thank god, annoying fuckers) in any of my SP matches. A lack of frigates/cruisers, Armistice spam, a shitton of super weps from all factions, a lack of attacks.
I think the point is that the AI is worse now then it was in vanilla Sins. We were never talking Deep Blue here, but the vanilla AI didn't do downright silly things like forgetting how to build frigates.
Exactly. I wouldn't mind them porting over Trinity's AI and just making them build a titan as well.
I didn't notice this in Diplomacy or the previous expansions, but I am really getting pissed off with the Armistice ability. I apologize if this has been addressed or is being looked at. I sifted through the first two pages of threads, though. I'll preface this by saying I am not a big pvp guy. I like large matches, FFA between me and 9 other brutal or insane bots. PvP I'm sure this is a legit strat and fun and can be used to great effect, but Armistice is killing the flow
A friend of mine sent me the Sins expansions via Impulse, how can I find and accept them from him?
/prepares to get flamed for being a noob I played sins on my old comp for the longest time, and with the new one just recently go it back on this computer. I knew once how to get mods, but I don't remember for the life of me where to place them, though I'm pretty sure I use winrar to extract. Help a fellow Sinner out? If there is a place for this question already and I'm an idiot cuz I couldn't find it
Quoting InfiniteVoid, reply 1Well, this is a game after all, so planet and asteroid populations aren't necessairly to scale. However, what I think is the best linear scale is in the neighbourhood of 1 population = 10 million. That way, Terran planets can support about 3 billion (highest possible is 3.64 billion on max upgraded TEC Terrans) and an asteroid can support 200 million (considering that that's about two-thirds of the popu
I don't know if this has been discussed before, and if it has, and there's a post, please link me :) It's been ages since I've come to this site, and even in all this time one question has been making me ponder time and again. How are ships and planet populations scaled? Lets start with planets. For the sake of arguement, there are 322 people on a Terran planet. 322 people on a planet is silly and just couldn't be done, espe
I've never seen that problem even when using animosity. But, I don't use it all that often, so I could be mistaken.
There's a button in the bottom center of the screen, after you select a building. It "scuttles" the building and makes room for a new one. Note you get only a small percentage of resources back.
Not like we have anything better to do waiting for these guys :\
I'll see where we're at with this today, gang. Apologies this is taking so long, but we've been working on the patches (and we're putting together a brand new design for this shirt).
Can we get an idea of what the old one looked like at least? You're holding an invisible cookie over our head and telling us it's there :(
They stole all the copies of Sins.
Odd thing is, if you turn it on auto-cast, it just continually does it...
I've played the Sc2 beta (blizzcon bitches) and it's so fun, I may very well cut almost all of my sins time out, though this game is so epic itself, it'll be a hard choice. Also, for those that didn't know, the Zerg Gameplaye video is up at the Sc2 website.
Eh, the gash isn't to big, it goes down after about half a minute, if that. Also, things in IRL aren't infinate, not at all.
