Double post, my bad. Dang lag :( EDIT: Oh come on now. People complain 24\7 about this stuff, but no comments to improve it? Tsk tsk.

I had an idea today about the black market, and I think it's a compromise to people in their arguments. As it stands, the Black market has infinate resources, and they can be purchased relatively cheaply, if the market hasn't boomed. As it was before, the price went up by a certin amount each time you bought it, and it lowered slowly, or when you sold. Both good, but people complained about 1) early game buying and 2) credits becoming the main resource I propose this: A

This thread has given me many laughs. It should be kept open.
I actually use a modified form of a tech rush, which puts me right at the Crusaders doorstep. Problem being if it's a 1v1, I can get uber rushed easy, which is why I don't play them :p Having Crusaders when they're hitting up LRMs is win.
Haha. This game has a huge learning curve, it'll take a while to learn. Really, go on a small or medium map, turn the comps onto easy and the fortifications setting, and turn off pirates and get a feel for the game itself. Ships, researching, requirements, the like. That's the best way to go about it.
While there isn't a single player campaign, this game is kick ass enough it doesn't need one.
This is bullshit. I demand an A+
I'm totally blind on what the point of this ability is. My first (and only) thought on it is that it takes a dead cap ships level (say 7) and puts that level onto a cap ship of a lower level (say 5), raising it to 7. But, if I put it on auto-cast (I did that to see if I could notice anything), it does the ability even when not in battle. So... Yeah, an explination would be nice.
THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL CONTEST This game has no backstory or lore, and I think it does, as do a lot of players. When I go on forums, the fan written stories always grab my attention, usually because they're good. I now ask you, my fellow Sins players, to step up to the plate and make a backstory for our beloved game. This would not only explain a lot in the universe, but possibly be the basis for story-mods, or if we ever get there, an official Sins story! For now thoug
I suggested a while back that we have a backstory contest, I think I'll bring it up again
Oh hell yes! Now on to world hunger! Lets go!
I just wonder if putting it to level 6 would make it too powerful. I think it could be balanced, but... Also, about the late game stuff, that's where their power really shows up. The Vengence/animoisty combo could (and will) kill off a lot of things attacking it. Add in an energy weapon cooldown, plus a level 2 sheild restoration on the battleship, you've just owned an entier armada of little ships.
Got bad news for ya man. The Range of LRM type ships is increasing, but so is the cost, but not by much at all.
I've heard (and I'm not a modder) that they can't really be tweaked with, but somebody else could provide better/more info on the subject
The best you can do is cinematic mode, which takes away something like 20 feature to make it look pretty, but the empire tree and important stuff will remain behind. Sorry.
Eh, either way. You just better hope the Advent player doesn't have a Carrier with a weapon cooldown. Even 8% hurts, because that 19 DPS just got that much worse on ya.
Capital ship quick leveling would have to work up to level 6 to match the utility of free units or free cash.
While as an Advent player, I'd love the extra boost, you gotta realize the power of the Advent comes from thier fleet, mostly capitals. Those 3 levels (plus uber extra xp) are so helpful, I try never to go a match without them. 2 extra drones, or energy cooldowns? Level 2 vengence and animosity? The list goes on. Those extra levels are helpful in ways hard to gras
It's a decent strat, but I can't say it's by any means perfect. A lot of this is based off the fact you can get all this stuff, including the Crystal, at the lowest price/earliest time. Methinks you should go back, try playing a game online where the person beats you to the crystal, and see how that works. Also, early game, while powerful, hanger defenses cost a LOT, not to mention the drone research for the extra 1 or 2 fighters. The power of the Advent lies in their fleets,
From what I gather from discussion and just about every "pro replay" I've watched, The Advent suck in competitive play. This seems to be the general consensus. The new patch is going to be great, but I'm not convinced that balance will be improved. I have watched dozens of replays only to witness the Advent players be utterly crushed by LRM or Assailant spam. I challenge the Sins community to supply replays of Advent playing well, or even dominating in a 1v1 or 2v2 setting against t
WOW I VOLUNTEER FOR BETA OR ALPHA TESTING
I want in too! Anyway, that drone looks sexy. I can't tell if those are just spikes or if the weapon is firing though?
I also fear for the Advents research. That 33% is nothing to be laughed at, not at all, and if we can even do more than 1 at a time, it'll diminish the effect of researching that in the first place.
Uh, good news bad news time. Good news, it doesn't crash. Bad news, I have the new version, and my crusaders still cost 875 metal ang 675 crystal :(
I've had the same problem with a Temple of Communion for the Advent, even uber late game where I have so much defence that even large fleets would be held off for a while. It's not just the cannon.
I'm not saying go purely caps, but I just think the time/res wasted on the second CSY (capital shipyard) is a bit much.
