I also have problems with ships just sitting there... There could be several hangers and defense platforms but my ships just sit and let themselves be killed.

The AI is weak...( hard and insane level) Even 5 against 1.... I still win They need to beef up the AI..... Sometimes the enemy does the most inane things...

I never use auto placement Stupid computer put the Capital Ship hanger right behind the frigate factory...and the caps couldn't get out of the hanger..

Is it just one part of the map...??? If it is you've hit the invisible wall of the galaxy...I went throught this myself...thought the game was broken

The AI for the other players was bad enough... But now my own ships are a bunch of knuckleheads.... Now they won't attack..they just sit there and let the enemy pound them to dust....or hang at the edge of the gravity well and do nothing about the many targets remaining.. I mean sometimes they fight....but not always... Now I'm going to have to micromanage the fights now...??? No thanks...

And since you haven't explored the other star...how do you know where the wormholes are..??? A ship can't jump to an unknown wormhole.....

Ha ha... What is wrong with artifacts...? Double in system jump speed? Double speed between stars ? Increase all ship damage? Are you insane...??? Those artifacts are priceless and could mean the difference between life and death... Sure some are stupid and useless....but for the cheap price...why not? You only need to explore 50% to find anything... I start exploring planets after I have 3 or 4 planets under my control.

They need to do something... Even multiples of enemies are no problem to fight...all hard. I've seen them jump through a gravity well going somewhere else only to get chewed up by my packed defenses on that planet. And with the latest patch...all the AI is screwed up..even my own ships got stupid...

Thats the only explanation I can understand for the post 1.03 stupidity that they now commit wholesale. What the heck happened here....??? They still do what they are supposed to do ...sometimes... But sitting there and letting a defense platform chew them to ribbons....or regrouping on the outskirts of the gravity well and just sit there while many other targets still exist....huh? Hee hee... This is funny.... What it boils down to is that people are upset that the Vasari are no longer overpowered and are now losing to people playing other races ( including the TEC...which were a little wimpy) Sounds like they are trying to balance the races... I play TEC ( I always play Humans ...even in Starcraft I always played humans) I haven't played MP yet to due the fact of TEC defiencies and all those stupid LRM spams....and mostly because I

...sometimes it's noticable when starting a game.. Load a new map and it stops.....played 50 hours without a problem... But now I've got a lot of time wrapped up in this game and just got the sticking problem.. Its' like I can't side scroll to the leftt or up....and it only happens in ceratin area.. I just tried a new map and the problem is gone..but reloaded my save and it's still there.... Like I said this usually happens when loading a new game.

You could even just make a longer lasting Fallout...or have it cost alot to clean it up... Too many planets sometimes.... But a solar syatem with only 4 planets looks goofy... And I want to be the ruler of galaxy not just a solar system...and what does it matter if half of that empire was inhabited by burned out cinders..??? I'd still be the winner...

I've read alot of posts about problems with fleet size and the map size. As an enemy could simply relocate to another planet or already have an outpost built there....and the war would go on...ad nauseum. Now I wish the fleets could be bigger but I have never had any problem with money... But I do have a problem with all these empty planets that I know the enemy could eventually find and put to use...and by this point in the game I'm no longer interested in coloni

Just reinstalled it and reapplied the patch .....seems to work...for now.. From what I remember from the error message it had to do with a missing exe. file. ( and from reading other posts..I see I'm not alone) I hope they get all these wrinkles ironed out...I hate to see this game go down a black hole due to stuff like this. And I know it's not a problem on my end...

I had been happily playing the game for the last few days, putting at least 30 hours into it. But today when I loaded the game and hit new game...nothing happens and I have to alt-ctrl-delete out and I see this weird dump message. No map will load,,saved or new.. What gives...??? Wasn't having a lick of trouble until today....
