I just got done playing a 4 player FFA, and let my mindset wander a little just for fun. Started to build up my economy and 'civic' tree pretty reasonably and far-and-away would become the top credit and crystal earner for the match. And I think I figured out the pirate system pretty well: dump a tiny bit of your money onto the heads of two others at the game's first impending raid, and like magic those two players will go on a bidding war versus the other, leaving me and one other FFA
Really the only suggestion I have to make is give players 5 extra minutes at the beginning before pirating commences.
How are the online components? That is where I love to play much more than the single player missions.
As this game downloads, what kind of gaming experience can I come to expect? I've played a fair share of the more mainstream Real Time Strategies, like Warcraft, Starcraft, Command and Conquer 3, LotR:BfMEII, and other games of that nature. What lured me to try out this game was that is kind of reminded me of long ago memories of playing Spaceward Ho! I'm not sure if any of you are familiar with Spaceward Ho!, but it was much more of a Turned Based Strategy than a Real Time Strategy. I
