Sorry, I've been gone for a while....well actually for a long time. Anyhow, I'm back and I'm going to try to get back into this for a little while.
Nice, sounds pretty good. A break from the Capitalism(s) is long overdue, so I'll be picking this one up when its released.Good post I never would have seen this otherwise.
Yeah, I look forward to it also. Hope to see you on there!
Ok, this game is being released in a few days on May 22nd!
It is a Grand strategy game
Yes, it is a Real-Time Grand Strategy Game. I actually consider Sins as a Real-Time Grand Strategy Game too.
Game Release Date: May 22nd, 2008 Supreme Ruler 2020 looks very interesting. YouTube Video http://youtube.com/watch?v=ILJeP8A76d8 Official Website http://www.battlegoat.com/screenshots_2020.php Pre-Order now fro
I bought the game. It is fun, but definitely requires a love for history. If you're oblivious to history then you would probably not enjoy this game.
I purchased the ROME game yesterday, on Paradox's Gamer's Gate website : US$ 49.95.The site also offers the 1.1 patch and the manual (.pdf).The Rome Paradox forum posts a big strategy guide for download (.pdf).
I picked up the game for $39.99 at BestBuy yesterday. I'm now trying to form a small circle of friends to play online. Apparently, these types of games take a very long time to complete so I'm looking to play a couple of hours each night, save it, and the
I have officially added Europa Universalis: Rome to our clan collection. If you want to orchestrate some games then visit our forum at [link="http://www.magogclan.com"]www.magogclan.com[/link]
Sounds like I should give the demo a try, it looks kinda interesting.
Well, I just bought the game at Best Buy. About to install it now...
What do you guys know about Europa Universalis: Rome It was just shipped to stores yesterday. YouTube Video Their website says "Robust multiplayer allows you to ch
One simple easy thing they could do is show on the info card which ship it is best used against. This would especially help the newbs and the people who do not search online for ship parameters.
That would be very helpful. Good idea, Kruelgor. Also: do the races' differant strikecraft have idiosyncrisies enough to justify putting them up on the chart as well?
I'll post info on the strikecraft too. I'm planning on doing this on Friday or Saturday.
I don't know. I understand the concept of playing with friends and all, but lately I've seen a lot of games online like this: 4vs4 Game TEAM1 player1 120 Games/87 wins/0 Losses player2 78 Games/54 wins/6 Losses player3 94 Games/59 wins/7 Losses player4 90 Gam
And if the subscription method does not benefit the business, then do you really think any business would even explore that as an option?
That's why I said I changed my mind. Initially, I thought it would gross more income for the business but not true since most casual gamers play for less than 3 months. It has to be what's best for the business. The casual gamers outnumber the hardcore gamers. A subscription method would only gross more money with the hardco
I'm not a pirate and I'm not lying when I say I would not pay a subscription for a game. I like playing games. I find it relaxing, but it's not so important to me that I'd be willing to pay monthly fees of any kind for a game. If it comes to the point where games require that, I'll stop playing new games and stick with the ones I already own. If you don't believe that, well, it doesn't make any difference to me what you believe. But I will not pay a subscription fee for games.
<br/
I love how you call everyone either an idiot or a thief
never called anyone an idiot never called EVERYONE a thief but, I am calling you a liar for your above statement. I really hate hijacking the topic by having to defend myself, but trolls like Uranium - 235 force me to. I'll just stop replying to this topic.
Nevermind. I just realized that most individuals will pay more money with the one-time purchase. Example, if someone subscribes to play the game for 2 months at $8 per month then he only paid $16 to the company. It's much better to force gamers to pay $40 to $50 with the one-time purchase. (of course, I do not know how much profit the company actually makes off a $40 or $50 sale. That's something to take into consideration when comparing this). This especially
Repeat that all you want. It still won't be any closer to the truth and since there's really no way to test it here, it's just inane babble at this point.
What you just said was pure babble. My statement had substance. I can see why game pirates would be against the idea of a monthly subscription.
If Ironclad/Stardock wants to adopt this model and lose my business,
It is my theory that you and others like you are liars. There is a price for everything. If you would pay 1 penny per month then you would pay 2 pennies. There is a price which you would pay. There is a price that EVERYONE would pay for a subscription. To say you would not pay anything is a flat-out lie. Unless, ofcourse, you are a game pirate.
A subscription system will not work. The others have already explained well so I will not go further.
You and the others are wrong. Many popular pc games have flourished with the subscription method. Some have failed because they didn't do it right.
All the chart needs is weapons ranges! The LRM is great for staying alive because it is too far away to be attacked, so all you need in the front are Flack ships to take the hits, and you can keep your fleet in perfect working order...
Yes, I plan on adding a bunch of new information to the chart within the next week including a counter unit chart which will tell you the best ships to use to counter another ship.
MAGOG clan will be hosting tryouts for our 2008 Roster on Saturday, April 12th.
