Next patch please give us more options and sliders for random maps, like a resource slider that dictates how often you'll have planetoids with more than, say, one or two resource asteroids, whether or not your planet is surrounded with crap like dead asteroids, uncolonizable areas and planetoids with only two resource thingies (I swear to god most of my random games put me with a bunch of asteroids and moons with either two ice planets or two lava planets with barely any resource asteroid

I dunno. Maybe it's me but the nerfing of the titans seems counter productive. They seem feebler and less impressive. Expensive as sin, a significant time to build. . . they should come out of the door swinging but instead it seems like they keep getting damage reduction and now they take forever to level.

I like to pick random a lot and way back when in entrenchment and vanilla it was fun but from Diplomacy on more often than not I find myself with one or two planets near by and then a whole lot of junk. Planets, asteroids, and moons with merely two resource thingies. Yeah, okay. Challenge and everything. That's cool but maybe we can get an option to effect that stuff like we can research speed, resource accumulation, so on and so forth.

Hopefully commanders get to build buildings 'cause those areas looked a little sparse and sparse makes me sad.

Oh yeah, and also more derelict ships period. You know all those junk gravity wells? They seem so empty and boring compared to everything else.

[quote who="AdmiralAckbar42" reply="22" id="2980148"]1) I think there was a game, Genesis Rising, where each ship you had was customizable, I never played it so I don't know much about it but if that mechanic were put into a future version (or better yet, a mod) that might be nice. 2) Phase lane system, I see how it makes sense, but someone made a mod where there was a technology that gave the effect of a phase stabilizer to every explored planet and star (you had to explore on

Another thing that has been on my mind is that it seems really odd that all planets have neutral TEC vessels, Cobalts and the like. Yet no buildings of their own. I'm thinking they need to have one or two random buildings that you can destroy, capture, or both. Obviously many would still have none, some would have one or two, and the more well defended would have three or four. Anything from research to trade ports to defense guns. I'm als

Oh. More capture-able buildings. Like, more than just mines. Maybe deep space trade stations or battle stations/hangers. Maybe derelict ships that you can "capture" and "repair" or another sort of artifacts that can be captured to do stuff (and probably only found in asteroid belts and the such). All these ideas also can be toggled for people who are not particular fond of them or want to change the experience. And the abili

I vaguely recall that the engine or graphics are going to improve (again?) in Rebellion. I don't remember if I said this somewhere already but in addition I'd like to see the turrets on ships with turrets actually move. Like in Homeworld. I imagine the heavy autocannons on the Kol are supposed to be the same length (because they'd look better like that anyway) but slide back for recoil or whatever. (If not, it's another suggestion). <

Honestly, I'd advocate holding on cries for balance when we haven't a clue how it operates. All too often games are ruined, balance-wise, because certain biases blind us to certain realities which unbalance the game. Not saying it's always true but we'd be better of not jumping the gun. Maybe there is a limit or maybe resources are the balance or maybe they really are too powerful. We'll see.

SemazRalan, The planets don't rotate too fast and what can be done is divide a plant into four sections with players have to decide which section of the planet one might want to put weapons on. Whenever an enemy comes into the field of fire, well, we know what happens. But as for the planetary weapons, we don't actually have to see any t

I think there needs to be new buildings as well as ships. And planetary upgrades. After having played Battlefleet Gothic , the spinoff game of Warhammer 40,000, and looking at some of their other projects from Forge World, it comes to my attention that planets, being as large as they are, ought to have defenses of their own. Granted, nothing too ridiculous but it wouldn't be unheard of if they had some

I do agree that being able to sell or trade ships would be a neat idea but I would much rather prefer new units. Actually, what I'd really like are more buildings. You know that space between the planet and the area you can build in? Wouldn't it be awesome if we could build orbital platforms or a ring around the planet (think Conquest: The Frontier Wars). Habitat rings or platforms to raise population caps. Extra hangers for fighters and builder ships. Defense platforms with flak guns

I am also excited about the new expansion. But I am unsure of the new cruisers. They look too much like tubes. I am also tired of the russian names! Bleh. =P But the Space fortress and defensive upgrades are really nifty and I look forward to it. Especially the mine fields. I kind of hope that they'll eventually include orbital platforms and more upgrades for planets. One would think that you could build missile silos to defend your planet from siege ships. I'd r

The game won't start for me, if you couldn't tell, and it keeps saying I don't have the faultrep.dll. I am going to try reinstalling as it recommends (there is no uninstall button oddly. . ) but I was hoping to find a simpler solution here.
